My wife and I were lucky enough to have gone before but the other couples had no clue what sort of night they were in for. What we didn't know was that as we sat down to see a show by James Knight that he was about to flip reality on its head. During the show he asked for a volunteer and my wife immediately raised her hand and he chose her. James brought ME up on stage then went back and asked my wife to pick a card without telling anyone what she had chosen. He returned to me and said she was now going send her card to me without saying a word. Immediately my mind starts racing about what card it might be. Queen of Hearts. Three of Spades. I was just on a whirlwind and then... clear as day above all of my thought.... I HEARD MY WIFE SAY "FIVE OF CLUBS" Not me. Not my thoughts. In my brain I heard her say that and the audience said they could just see it hit me because it looked like I got hit by something. And I had. I was hit by the impossible. It actually made me tear up a bit as I was simply blown away that I had heard that. That I was very intimately involved in something I can't explain. Both the kids and the adults were easily entertained with a combination of fun things for the children and some clever witty humor to keep the parents laughing right along. The party was in our backyard and we invited around 40 people. There were probably around a dozen or more kids and plenty of space to run around and play. We took care of the food, chairs and blankets and let Jolly Roger make himself at home. He arrived early and before the start of the party with all the things he needed to pull off a great show. He brought his own music and had a microphone and speaker system to make sure everyone could hear his performance and some really cool and fun music to keep the kiddos dancing while the party was getting started as well as during intermission and once it was over. His British accent and his quick sense of humor was like a breath of fresh air and kept everyone involved and on their toes. My friends and I could not stop giggling at some of his comedy that went right over the kid's head and kept all the adults laughing in the background.
