I arrived as a guest for an event at 5:00 p.m., with dinner scheduled to be served around 6:00 p.m. Unfortunately, my entire table did not receive our meals until around 9:00 p.m., approximately three hours after food service was supposed to begin. We watched as other tables were served while ours was repeatedly skipped. When we finally asked staff about our meals, we were told they had run out of food which did not make sense as we were in our seats and did not even receive a starter salad. What made the situation even more disappointing was the way the staff responded to our concerns. Rather than being apologetic or trying to resolve the issue, they were dismissive and rude when we pointed out that our table had been overlooked. I understand that delays and unexpected issues can happen during large events, but leaving several tables without food for hours and then responding poorly when guests ask about it is unacceptable. For such a beautiful venue, I expected the level of service and hospitality to match the setting. Unfortunately, our experience with the food service significantly took away from such a wonderful event.

The main guy was not kind or helpful and I would not chose to host here again because of him. Besides the tables for guests to sit on which were very dirty and not cleaned of previous food scraps, we only were provided a few tables to put our own food and items on. Considering it's a party rental space I would've expected there to be significantly more tables that we could use for our event. In addition, it was a hot summer day and they only provided us with a few umbrellas after we moved our event to the outdoor space to accommodate common space, leaving our guests hot and uncomfortable. He wasn't kind when we asked for additional tables/umbrellas and he also was extremely rude to me during the party which really bothered me. A couple of friends had given me wine bottles as gifts-a very normal gift to give. And they were clearly gifts and on the gift table, not intended to be drank or used. He aggressively came up to me and told me they can't be there, to which I explained I did not bring them and they are gifts and will be taken home with me and have no intention of opening. He proceeded to continuously tell me to remove them from the property even though I stated multiple times they were gifts and not to be drank. He was rude, unprofessional, and should have not chose to share this with me as I was in the middle of socializing with my guests and by no means wanted to "deal" with the few wine bottle gifts that weren't causing any issues. Overall, the brewery is cool and everybody else was great. But I would not choose to work with them again because of the lead man and encourage him to approach future events with a kinder heart and better professionalism as I imagine manyyy people will receive wine as gifts in the future and it is not right to harass them during their event if so.

This weekend was a very important day for me and my girlfriend, as we were celebrating a special…read moreevent. We rented The Fern and paid the full amount over a month in advance. We had agreed to meet 30 minutes before the event so everything would be ready. When I arrived at 1:30 p.m., I called the owner as we had agreed. My first two calls went to voicemail, and after several more attempts, she finally answered. When I told her I was outside the venue, she said, "Oh my God, I forgot about your event." Her husband told me that Brenda had forgotten to write that she had an event on her calendar. Brenda gave me the access code over the phone so I could open the venue myself, and someone arrived about an hour later to finish setting up the jumper and other items. Starting such an important day this way was very stressful and disappointing, especially after paying in full well in advance and having a scheduled meeting time. To the owner's credit, she did give us two additional hours at the venue to make up for the situation, and I appreciate that gesture. However, forgetting a customer's event is something that should never happen. I hope this feedback helps improve communication, organization and integrity so future customers don't experience the same stress on such an important day.
