I have never met a more powerful and dedicated couple. From the very beginning to the end, I was blown away by their professionalism, attention to detail, and genuine care for our event. They were incredibly accommodating and made sure every aspect of the celebration was perfect. The venue itself was beautiful, but Rob and Liseth have HUGE plans to make it even better. Anyone who gets to have their party there after us is incredibly lucky because they're continually improving the space. Typically, when you think "banquet food", you think bland and cold. The food here was seasoned to perfection and every plate came out warm. Each and everyone of my guests had nothing but positive feedback. Planning a wedding from across the country we had a bunch of questions that they were able to answer in a timely manner. The East Angel was able to accommodate all our site visit request when we were in town and made sure out wedding was the perfect day. I believe it was Fred who helped us day of - he was amazing making sure everything was how we imagined, guided vendors and was able to answer any questions we had. We fell in love with the venue at first sight. We loved all the gold and greenary. All our pictures came out stunning and all the guests loved the venue. Even better- you get the space for 12 hours - with the beautiful and spacious bridal suites we were able to do our hair and makeup and get beautiful pictures. Everything went off without a hitch. This weekend was a very important day for me and my girlfriend, as we were celebrating a special…read moreevent. We rented The Fern and paid the full amount over a month in advance. We had agreed to meet 30 minutes before the event so everything would be ready. When I arrived at 1:30 p.m., I called the owner as we had agreed. My first two calls went to voicemail, and after several more attempts, she finally answered. When I told her I was outside the venue, she said, "Oh my God, I forgot about your event." Her husband told me that Brenda had forgotten to write that she had an event on her calendar. Brenda gave me the access code over the phone so I could open the venue myself, and someone arrived about an hour later to finish setting up the jumper and other items. Starting such an important day this way was very stressful and disappointing, especially after paying in full well in advance and having a scheduled meeting time. To the owner's credit, she did give us two additional hours at the venue to make up for the situation, and I appreciate that gesture. However, forgetting a customer's event is something that should never happen. I hope this feedback helps improve communication, organization and integrity so future customers don't experience the same stress on such an important day.

Came here on a Monday and Tuesday for a two day conference. It was our first time here as a group…read moreand as an individual and it was perfect for our needs. We didn't see much staff but those we did engage with were pleasant. They whipped up some yummy food and seemed to be a joyful group. All the buildings in the complex does look similar. There's a library and other office buildings. But it wasn't too hard to find this place. Plenty of parking available which is clutch and the surrounding area seems super safe. We were on the second floor and to get to the top you could take the elevator or take the spiral staircase. Not much seating upstairs outside of the actual conference rooms. Downstairs have about 15 seats in the foyer to do some quick work. The room we had was super spacious. It was only about 100 of us in the room and it felt like we could have fit 500 easily. Another great perk, there was a lot of stalls to use in the male bathroom which is typically not the case. So that was nice.

We recently hosted our daughter's Sweet 16 here, and overall the event was beautiful. The venue…read moreitself was set up exactly as promised, the food was delicious, the staff was friendly and hardworking, and the DJ did an excellent job keeping our guests on the dance floor all night. We received many compliments from our guests about the venue and the overall experience. Unfortunately, our experience with the owner was very different. While he fulfilled everything outlined in our contract, his interactions during setup made the process much more stressful than it needed to be. Our set up and rehearsal felt uncomfortable after being spoken to sharply, including being reprimanded for leaning on a table. When I politely asked if we could add one additional table (at a cost, if at all possible)), I was also met with a raised voice. It was a simple question. I wasn't demanding or accusatory, but he became extremely defensive. Throughout setup, it felt as though we were being closely monitored rather than supported. To be fair, the venue honored every part of our agreement, and I appreciate that. However, hospitality is about more than fulfilling a contract. On such an important day, I hoped for a little flexibility, warmth, and kindness. Because of that experience, I personally would have a hard time recommending the venue, despite the beautiful facility and wonderful staff.
