Unexpectedly in the vacinity, I directed a detour stopping here for a late lunch-slash-early dinner. No regrets. Never again will I slum it through the drive thru of a golden arch for a cheeseburger fix. This was the real deal - there was even coleslaw on this puppy. The bun was toasted to a crisp perfection, the right balance of ketchup to mustard and a meat patty that had some oomph to it. The shop itself reminds me of a fish and chip shop my family would visit growing up. That's to say its basic, no frills. It doesn't need it. Plus the food is without pomp and it all works to create a very distinct charm. Not a subway tile, wooden chair or metal light shade in sight! For less than $20 we got 2 burgers. A great novelty food night. If you're game go the Carolina Pack for $40 - buffalo wings, New York fries and ribs for 2 people.

Carolina Kitchen is a family business owned by an expat from South Carolina, Mike Perry, located on a quiet suburban street in Coopooroo. Already there is a massive following on their Facebook group, with regulars and new comers singing their praises for the Buffalo Wings and BBQ Ribs. Both times I've been for a Saturday lunch, we've booked to save us a table. The place fills up quickly, so if you have more than 2 people, I would definitely suggest booking ahead of time. The BBQ ribs are so juicy and covered in sauce, and the Buffalo wings pack a punch with the original spicy sauce. Dip the wings in the blue cheese dipping sauce to cool your mouth. They have a wide variety of different flavoured Coke, Dr Pepper and Fanta - flavours you don't usually get in Australia. Cherry Dr Pepper tastes like sugary baby Panadol, but I love it! For a serious feed you can either go with one of the Hoagies - a sandwich on a long, Sub roll - or a burger "All The Way". That means everything including onions. There's cheeseburgers, chicken burgers and hamburgers, as well as Hot Dogs. Unfortunately, during my last visit they didn't have any Pie for sale, but quite often they will be selling a Pumpkin, Cherry or Pecan pie by the slice. I did manage to place an order for a Pumpkin pie to take home for Christmas. $30 for a whole sweet pie - traditional American style Pumpkin pie!

We loved the salt, pepper & garlic calamari and the Tahitian lime & coconut marinated griller snapper was amazing. It is a little pricey - but it is a step up in quality from your average fish & chip shop. The staff here are super friendly and BYO for $3 per head is a bonus! 24 October 2019 Beautifully cooked fish & chips - nicey but pricey My husband and I dropped in for takeaway on a Sunday evening and ordered grilled salmon, crumbed barramundi (Japanese panko crumbs), chips and a green papaya salad. Everything was really delicious and the fish was cooked to perfection! The only reason I am marking it down is because it was expensive in relation to the size of the portions (small).

I definitely agree with Emma's review. It's not terrible but the beer battered chips were sparse and the fish was good but not amazing. The calamari rings were decent. I am not sure what all the fuss is all about now that I have had it. I'm on the search for the best fish and chips in Brisbane and FW was good but it wouldn't be in my top tier. I wouldn't go out of my way to come back and won't be urging my friends to try it out. Be sure to know what you want to order when it's your turn. They will give you a few options so be ready. The service was fine when we went so no complaints there. Our food was prepared in a decent amount of time as well. They do have a $9.90 lunch special that changes each day. I am not sure if the portion size is smaller than normal.

I love Pizzaland!…read more Family owned and operated in their 39th year of cheese, sauce and dough. The pizza are very Australian with thick fluffy bases smothered with a slew of ingredients. They offer free garlic, chilli, jalapeños, ginger, BBQ sauce, sweet chill sauce, hot chilli sauce or pizza herbs on any pizza - I love this. Extra chilli and garlic for the win guys! My to-be brother in-law is allergic to dairy & eggs, Pizzaland make him a cheese free pizza without any of the fuss you'd get at other places. Even without cheese the pizza is still tops. My no.1 orders are 'Pizza Orgy' (I guess that's what happens inside your mouth with every bite) and American Deluxe, though I am dying to try The Continental - or to be more honest haven't found anyone to give it a go with me yet - which sports some ye old timey pizza toppers (I'm talking mashed potato and bread n butter cucumbers old timey!). Phone ahead as the pizza's are made to order with a normal wait of 20-25mins. Gluten friendly pizzas also available. Rad!

They are lovely and efficient and make pizza so good you'll think about it for days after. This place is a real gem, with a diverse but not over whelming menu, old favourites done right and some new ideas like the Continental, bacon, smoked cabana, mashed potato and bread and butter cucumbers, I know right! But it totally works. Try it out. Get a half and half, go on, it's very good. Once the Pizzaland creations l hit my mouth, all memories of insipid, overpriced faux Tandoori 'pizzas' on cardboard from 'gourmet pizza' places were erased from my mind. I will never buy a pizza from a major chain again. I am only interested in pizza from pizza land. Pizzaland is flight of the concords, and I'm Mel. Pizzaland is affordable, tasty, and with very quick take away ordering, this place ticks all the boxes. I love Pizzaland! Get a takeaway pizza and go eat it on roller-skates to impress a boy you like.
