Unfortunately, my interaction with Melissa Buccino was incredibly disheartening. From the moment I joined the video interview, it was clear that my presence was not welcomed with the same openness or interest as one would expect in a fair hiring process. The conversation was cut abruptly short lasting less than a minute, with no genuine attempt to engage or understand my background, despite my extensive qualifications. It was difficult not to notice how quickly I was dismissed, and I left the conversation feeling that my identity as a woman of color may have played a role in how I was treated. Representation matters but only when it's backed by action, respect, and equitable treatment. This experience made me question the branch's commitment to true inclusion and its approach to recognizing real talent. To future candidates, especially those from underrepresented backgrounds I urge caution. And to the leadership: do better. Melissa Buccino do better! Talent comes in many forms, and every candidate deserves a fair shot and a respectful conversation.
