well i guest i also will jump on kenneth fan club, i thought he did a great job with community service. i was their for year an half. i also work with frank. unlike frank. ken never once tryed to hit on me with a lame old pick up line. yes he sometime made us sit round the office with nothing to do. but i think some of you are for getting that part of ken job wasn't just for community service, but also with magnificat, which means that he also had to work with a lot of people suffering from mental illness. meaning he had to carefully monitoring community service and magnificat residents at the same time.most likely they will be almost 50 community service people there at once everyday. im still doing community service till this day but at houston parks. i really hate the fact that ken gave up on us and left community service because i really miss being around magnificat environment. i learn so much from kenneth about people suffering from mental illness. he also change my life for the better. im a kind-hearted person now thanks to him. please bring us back there for our community service.. we miss ya'll read more

what it dew @ farid and kim. i work with both of ya for my community service at mhi... at 1st i hated ken because he was working us to deaf. farid you came at the end of community service their at mhi. they are no longer holding it anymore. they stop it. i was there three long years, when a guy by the name of frank moore was running it. mr lindsey was there to but frank was over it. kim you know that frank put us trow HELL.. once mr lindsey took over, he change a lot of things which to me was for the better. see i was in a gang back then. i didn't care about my life nor anyone else. i was in and out of jail 3 times while there at mhi. mr lindsey pull me to da side one day and had a long talk with me. one on one real street talk. he change my life around. i now loving life, have a great wife with a son on da way. im back in school and OUT OF A GANG. not only did he help me out of this gang but five of my friend as well. thank you so much mr lindsey for everthing you have done for me. thank u thank u thank. im even name my son after you.... read more

Magnificat Houses is a lifeline for people who are struggling with homelessness. As a volunteer for several years, I can say this as I have witnessed Magnificat's staff help so many people. I volunteered in the business office on specific projects and in admissions with the Catholic Sisters. When I volunteered in admissions, my eyes were opened as to the complexities and difficulties to offering help to people struggling with homelessness. I appreciate Magnificat's model in that it offers help, not a handout. Each person is expected to pull his or her own weight and be responsible. Further, I admire Magnificat's community model where people live and eat together in a house, perform household chores and are active participants in the Magnificat community. As most of us can appreciate, helping people to overcome homelessness is not an easy task. Yet Magnificat's staff and volunteers are faithful to their mission by offering help for those who wish to overcome their homelessness. Bless Magnificat Houses. read more

FARID, i also asign community service at magnificat houses. unlike you. i thought they did a great job on helping me out. i was there also six months before they stop taken us.. us meaning you and i. it was US who was ordered by the court.. and tell told us if you are not satisfied with community service, please take this issue to your judge, probation officer or attorney,do not take your problems to the staff or residents of magnificat house inc. i like the fact that magnificat had men and woman working away from each other.. i dont no where this we all sat around all day doing nothing came from. but myself and the other girls work at the female house and in the main office. we mostly did horticulture out side. no matter if it was cold, raining hot, we was mostly out side. once inside the office. we clean the whole office top to bottom.. kenneth and sister sara I cannot say enough good things about you two. thank you both so muchh.. kim lordman.... read more

Rosemary Badini and the Magnificat Houses Organization, are a Godsend. Yes... all things could be run better. Yes... it is interesting. As a former business, car, and home owner, I consider all that they do and all of my experiences as unique and eye opening. I wish more people would get involved. I am not Catholic, yet they treat me the same as all others. The houses are considered transitional house and while faith based, they do try and help others land on their feet. I propose that everyone from the community get involved and help where they can. Donate... food, clothes, time and remember that one mans trash is another's treasure. I don't like the false pretense of the dump. The nuns. They lie & manipulate when they open their mouths. They even have a history of conveniently overlooking drug use from their staff. I know because I reported one with one of the sisters responding like it wasn't a big deal. In all truthfulness, the staff are only street scum set in a professional position.
