The issue was reported the day prior, but a permit from the COA was required to proceed with installing a new one. He got here at 7:00 am and didn't leave until 10:00 pm! They charge $29 to come out. Tech comes out says it could be a bad GFCI or a bad breaker and they have three levels of diagnosis. This would fall under a level three diagnosis and the fee is going to be $825. I have never seen a company try to rip someone off more in my life. I've been managing properties for a long time and have five different properties. Not once have I ever seen a company. Tried to take advantage of a homeowner like this. I absolutely would never give this business a dime. The tech also did not seem very knowledgeable and was not willing to even figure out why there was no power to two rooms and an outlet. read more

I called this service. The agent that came out to the house did a safety check after I explained the issue I was having with the smoke detectors. The smoke detector was constantly beeping. The agent told me I had the replace either 2 old smoke detectors or the 7 brand new ones I had purchased less than 6 months ago. I had the two replaced and was charged $500.00 The agent left. Later in the evening the issue returned. I called the company and was told I would be charged $300.00 to come to the house to try to fix the problem that should have been resolved the first time. read more

Scheduling with Magnify Electric was super easy. The lady on the phone explained that the technician will provide an estimate and complete the work the same day if I agreed with the estimate. Appointment reminders were timely and had the proper frequency. Jeff Malta, the electrician assigned to my job was friendly, super knowledgeable and accommodating. Jeff installed a whole house surge protector and enclosure, both of which I supplied. He also conducted a safety inspection and as a result tightened the sub-panel breaker wiring as well as sealed a hole in my panel with silicone caulk. Finally, I asked Jeff to provide me with a rough estimate on an outdoor Tesla pedestal charger and plan out how we might possibly do the wiring. He took the time to explain what I needed to do beforehand and told me about the supplies I needed to make sure the conduit in the concrete is easy to feed the particular gauge of wire needed. I called Magnify Electric to sort out an Oven that would not turn on, and a Garage Door Opener Power Socket that quit working. Tom methodically went through both breaker boxes to make sure they were all good...they were. The problem with the oven circuit was a junction box where the solid core aluminum just broke off the connection. Very hard to find, he found it and fixed it. The garage circuit also took some methodical troubleshooting and he finally traced the problem to the outdoor plug that was in the process of decomposing. Fixed that too, we are delighted. $1000.00 for the two jobs, they sure as hell earned it today. Spent almost four hours on the jobs, gave a quote before service that they honored. read more
