I love how each grade level has a whole separate wing and that 5th grade is totally off to themselves. The cafeteria is spacious and well organised. Their stage isn't huge but exceptionally prepared. The teachers present not all of them work at Williams all the time but they were super friendly helpful and supportive. The nurse called me days ahead of time to make sure I had the paperwork and medications ready in case my son had an asthma attack while he was there. He came home exuberant each and every day talking about what he had done and who he had played with - something he rarely ever does with his zoned school. If they operate like this during the normal school year I am envious of all the people who's children are lucky enough to attend this campus.

Anytime I call the bus barn it's an excuse. The last straw was today when my kids had to wait outside in the cold rain and the bus was almost 30 minutes late. And this previous Friday my kids didn't get on the bus until after 8 because the driver skipped us and didn't want to turn around so they sent a different bus completely. Their excuse to me was there's a sub driver. Absolutely ridiculous.

The campus was huge, impressively clean, and the cafeteria provided ample seating, accommodating the large number of attendees comfortably. As with many gymnasiums, the bleachers were predictably uncomfortable; at 5'5" and 125 pounds, I found myself sitting at an angle with people bumping from behind and in front to be less than ideal. Why do schools keep doing this? They are as bad as the airline industry. I can only imagine the increased discomfort for taller or larger individuals. Despite this, the overall quality of the facilities surpassed our previous experience at Waltrip High School in Houston - by a MILE. One area for improvement is the women's restroom, which lacked paper towels; the air dryers were insufficient for thoroughly drying hands. On a positive note, parking was plentiful and convenient. It's worth mentioning that the surrounding area offers limited amenities, there are very few stores and restaurants worth mentioning unless you head over to the Woodlands. If you are a vegetarian, you are mostly out of luck in this area of Texas. According to U.S. News & World Report's 2024 Best High Schools Rankings, Magnolia High School is ranked within the top 15% of high schools in Texas and the top third in the greater Houston area. The school serves approximately 2,248 students in grades 9-12. There were lots of award banners prominently displayed in the school. As a science teacher, I would have LOVED to see their chemistry and biology laboratories!

When you first meet the principal and the teachers you the feeling that you're in that movie "The Stepford Wives" (i think that's the one with Bette Midler and Nicole Kidman) With the exception of maybe five or ten teachers. Behind all of the "kindness" and "concern" for you our children to succeed is the high school "Mean Girls" thing going on between the teachers, behind the parents back and in front of the students!! I have been told by two of the students (6 and 8yrs) that these teachers are more concerned about what teacher is going where and accusing each other of things they make up on a daily basis. This happens in all work environments without fail but when these teachers are more concerned about getting beck at each other instead of teaching the children, it's no wonder so many of them are being laid off due to their lack of dedication to the students education. It may be due to the fact that the superintendent's wife happens to work there. This makes one wonder if the principal must think she can just get away with anything due to her befriending this teacher. My point is, if a six and eight year old student have managed to pick up on teachers gossiping, how can we expect our students to get the best education possible if the teachers are more concerned about behaving like teenagers themselves? When students are watching the hard working and devoted teachers crying from the stress that t the UNETHICAL, unfair, and immoral behavior of the rest of the teachers. What are the students really learning? Team work or selfish childlike behavior best portrayed by the teachers?
