The old office has no sign that they moved and the staff doesn't know how to give directions. When you fill out the forms in the office, bring your lawyer. You are not required, by law, to give them everything on the form, but they can, and will, refuse treatment if you don't surrender your information to them. He took a series of pictures both before and after. He was very gentle and meticulous during the procedure and really calmed my nerves throughout. Their office environment was also very modern, sanitary and orderly. As a professional and periodontist his ratings here should be much higher than what I am seeing. I rated him a 4 out of 5 minus the staff, who weren't the most personable, however at the end of the day I was there to see the doctor not the staff.

DO NOT GET A PROCEDURE DONE BY DR. CHU (at the Falls Church location). I had my wisdom teeth taken out by him and I had to stay 2 nights in the ER because I got sepsis (along with a $4500+ medical debt). My mouth would not stop bleeding for 48hrs after surgery, I do not think they sewed up my wounds correctly. Both sides of my cheeks were bruised up for weeks and the IV that Dr.Chu/his assistant injected also left a nasty bruise for weeks (for comparison, the IV from the ER nurses left a barely noticeable dot on both my arms). The cherry on top is that Dr. Chu never bothered to followup with me after my hospital trip. I'm certain that Dr. Chu knew that I was in the hospital because the infectious disease specialist told me he would followup with Dr. Chu. The front desk ladies were more thorough with their follow up for my pending balance than Dr. Chu ever was for MY LIFE. On Google review, someone else shared a similar experience in that they also almost had to go to the ER and that Dr. Chu was dismissive. So my experience was not an outlier. I do not think I would be here today to write this review if my girlfriend didn't take me to the hospital after she found me trembling in my sleep as my body was fighting off the infection from sepsis at 2AM. If you value your life, I highly recommend you get your oral surgeries at another location.

The extraction itself was quick and painless. I did not want to be sedated, so I opted for local anesthesia. I was awake the whole time and felt no discomfort at all. The post operative instructions were comprehensive and clear. They worked with my insurance and the billing was exactly what they had estimated. Overall, this was a superb experience. I was very impressed with the kindness, care, and skill of Dr. Patel and his team. I am now pain free, and very happy with the results. If you need an oral surgeon, I highly recommend this group.

If it wasn't for…read morethem, the infection would have gotten so much worse...the problem tooth did have to be removed but afterwards they gave me antibiotics that cleared the infection up and meds to help with the pain. I would definitely recommend them, and am so thankful for their help!
