This dentist is terrible. He messed up a simple crown in every step of the process plus caused damage to my gum. I had never been in as much pain in a dentist's chair as I was when he was working on that crown. EXCRUCIATING pain. His tools must not have been sharp and/or he didn't know what he was doing, I was butchered. My tooth couldn't take all the trauma and the nerves ended up dying. To add insult to injury (literally), when I went back shortly afterwards due to the issues I was having with the tooth/crown, he talked to me in a very condescending manner and told me it was in my head and he was the expert. Arrogant and immature behavior. The icing on the cake was charging me for the follow-up even though he did nothing other than take a look and conduct himself in such poor taste. read more

I had been a patient of Dr. Costa down the street for about 5 or 6 years, but as they expanded their business, I felt like the quality went down and that they lost their personal touch. When I first started at this office, it was still owned by Dr. Greco. Within a few months, I received a letter that Dr. Greco was leaving and my next appointment would be with the new dentist, Dr. Dahman. I made a mental note to find a new dentist before my next appointment, but boy am I glad I forgot! I was so pleasantly surprised to see that Dr. Dahman remodeled the office - it was a huge improvement. Also, I was blown away when I met Dr. Dahman - very soft spoken, very knowledgeable, very humble. He doesn't try to up sell you on anything and gives you very pragmatic advice. After a couple days of pretty intense wisdom tooth pain, I made a quick appointment for the first time with Dr. Dahman. Even during a snowstorm, Dr. Dahman and his team was in the office taking patients - lucky for me since after taking some quick x-rays, discovered I had an infection in one of my wisdom teeth. I had wisdom teeth pain for more than a week- My previous dentist said that I need to take off all four wisdom tooth without even look at them ( from the X Ray). he need to put me in sleep to get it done. the fact is he was trying to sale me,I was not happy about what he said. I went to Great Falls Dentistry for a semi-annual cleaning and the experience was excellent considering it was going to the dentist. The front desk staff was very friendly and polite. The Dental Hygienist, Julie, was excellent. She told me what to expect (exam, x-rays, cleaning and a thorough exam by Dr. Dahman) during my appointment. It was the best teeth cleaning I have ever had. Julie was very highly skilled at her job as I could tell by how my teeth felt afterwards. Dr. Dahman was personable and answered questions I had relating to my dental care. He explained different options with a non-pressured approach, which is very different from other practices I've been to. I also scheduled teeth whitening for a later date and when I had that done I could not have been happier with the results. I can't believe I didn't do it sooner. I am now a regular patent! read more

I used to think all dental practices are the same. With some other practices I've been to it was clear that I was just another patient to them. They always made it clear they were too busy to pay any attention to me. Not so with Dr. Dahman and his staff. They are all wonderful people! Dr. Dahman's demeanor is friendly and calming, and he takes the time to really listen to you and to hear about any dental issues you have. Finally found a dentist and practice that I like and trust. Awesome wisdom tooth experience. Dr Dahman is great: friendly, detail-oriented, patient, gave good advice that didn't feel like oversell and is very reassuring. He pinpointed the need for removal of one of my wisdom teeth (yikes) and scheduled me within 2 days. The removal itself was astoundingly easy (for a 53 year old man who treats dentist visits with all the courage of a 5 year old). Dr Dahman confronted my whole x-ray involuntary gagging during the taking of xrays issue (always a good look for the grown man) by physically holding the camera doodad (technical dental term) in my mouth as the image was taken, which seemed above and beyond. I experienced zero pain from the anaesthetic administering, Dr D asked me how I was feeling throughout, warned of pressure during the extraction (which was minimal) and promptly removed the tooth within about 3 minutes! There was minimal blood, the anaesthetic wore off with a few hours and I had a mild ache for a few hours then nothing. At all. I feel absolutely fine. The best dental experience of my life, no kidding. The receptionists are exceptionally courteous, fun to chat to and have excellent telephone manners. Scheduling has been a breeze. The first cleaning was excellent, with people later commenting on how white my teeth looked, and the technician/hygienist was also incredibly patient with my gagging during x ray time. I also noticed how warm and helpful she was with staff assisting her. Such a relief to have found this gem of a practice. Oh, it's also next to Great Falls Creamery and The Old Brogue pub, so what better after a cleaning than a giant delicious ice cream after fish n chips...? read more

You will not find better quality dental care. I have lived in Great Falls 19 years, and left another Great Falls dental practice 4 years ago due to what I will refer to as "repeated attempts to get me to have work done which was not needed." Dr Greco was not working at Ackerman 4 years ago, but it was my great fortune that she came, and (I was told by another dentist that she) is part owner so will be around for a loooooong time.
