It's also an absolute steal, with dinner for two, including starters and edamame, usually coming in around £20.

One thing is for certain is they are extremely consistent. There is something to appreciate about seeing a Wasabi, walking in and grabbing a small box and drink for a few pounds and it being exactly the same as the one you were at yesterday several kilometers away. It's the McDonalds of Japanese. I sure will miss them the most. I even dropped in on one in Birmingham Bullring and it was exactly the same as the first one I visited here in Knightsbridge. I can't wait to try one when I get back to LA and see if it's the same or not. That would be just something short of amazing if the consistency was the same as here in London. Honestly, if I walked by one back home before this trip, I probably wouldn't even look twice or think about out. But now, for bits n pieces, this is a must snack-a-roni for me. I'll be happy to report back if and when I do.

The only downside would be that there may not be any seats available especially during lunch hours. I would recommend anyone visiting London to try eating at Wasabi, especially if you're in for a quick, inexpensive and delicious meal.

It is located in the Japan House which has a shop and museum on the lower floors and this restaurant upstairs. We booked for afternoon tea on OneTable and they came out with the lunch menu which looked kind of pricy but we ordered the large tea platter which was full of tasty sushi and delicious snacks as well as a choice of tea or other drinks. I ordered the matcha and my wife ordered the sencha tea which were probably the best tea we have ever had. The service was pretty good but they forgot to give my wife a birthday desert (which was one matcha cake and one sponge cake with a candle) while they celebrated a birthday next to us. Not sure if it was a mix up since the booking said it was for a birthday or if she had a birthday twin next to us. Anyways, they felt bad and didn't charge for the birthday desert which was nice. We recommend this place for an authentic Japanese experience as well as their afternoon tea and to check out the free museum downstairs as it has rotating exhibits.

Try the omakase and stay away from the fried food as they were no good. Ordered the mocktail that was supposed to have peach, lime and pineapple juice and all I could taste was pineapple juice from the can with a lot of ice.
