I believe they installed stained granite, and won't admit it or offer a believable explanation. There is clearly an orange stain at the sink. The rest of the granite does not have this stain anywhere else. When I let them know, they told me it was supposed to be like that. And they offered no other response, not more pictures of it elsewhere, not a name of the granite, nothing. Make sure you look over each piece carefully before installing. The stain is along the side of the sink. It wouldn't be so bad except the granite is white and grey, so I'll have to look at this the rest of my life thanks to this place.

As they were bringing the piece into the house, I noticed that the cut had no tan specs appearing anywhere. Upon calling, my customer service contact immediately, I was informed there was a hair line crack (in transit) and they had to cut with the area that was good. The piece was now done with no phone call of the issue, they offered no compensation on the cost. Was told that they could return it and I could pick something else out. All it took was a simple phone call to alert the customer to the issue. Instead, they came, made the cut and I had to make the phone call about the issue. Not GOOD BUSINESS PRACTICE in any shape or form. Be extremely careful, get everything in writing and go over it twice and check the stone before they make a single cut or you will end up like me with a piece you didn't order. The men who delivered the stone were the professional in the case.

Our house was getting renovated due to a flood that required our countertops and cabinets to be…read moreremoved. When it was time to go in with the countertops, our contractor suggested using this company. We spoke with the owner and he assured us everything would look great. He came out and took measurements and installed the countertops later that week while we were out of town. When we got back, we noticed a huge seam in the middle of the island. Our previous island did not require a seam so it would have been better business practice to inform a homeowner of this. So while the seam is necessary and we can accept that, the workmanship that was done is extremely poor. It is not level and the color doesn't match. When you run your hand over the seam it is not smooth. Our previous counters had a seam in another area of the kitchen and you could never feel it. We consulted two other companies and both explained why the seam looks and feels the way it does it because of the cuts that were made prior to install and poor installation technique. We addressed this with our contractor and we're told that this company is refusing to come fix it unless they are paid an additional $4,000. I will not be recommending this company to anybody and will strongly urge you to seek countertops from another place.

Parks Construction had built our house less than 5 years before the fire. We were devastated. We called James, and he worked with us to rebuild. We were back in our new house in about 4 months from the day they put up the first piece of framing !!! We were very pleased with the workmanship yet again. James Parks was so professional in his presentation to us as far as what he provides as a builder. He was upfront with pricing and construction. Danielle, our front lady who we love, was amazing and took great care of us. But truly, the Oscar goes to Reid T., our foreman, who was so patient and guided us through some severe design flaws via the architect (another Yelp for another day (Blue Line Design..NO.) Nobody anticipated these flaws based on the fact that these are professional architects (or are they?) but Reid caught them every time. He reassured us that the awkward wall upstairs could be remedied He was empathetic and corrected several cabinet issues for us. He was never pushy but such bold, albeit, minor suggestions that made the world of difference in our house. He took minor design flaws and rocked them into full blown made for TV interior design show specials. We are blessed to be living in such a beautiful house and thankful to Reid who was so genuine and purposeful with all our questions and always had a solution. We are not design magnets and his suggestions were so welcome and helpful. We loved his approach to the home building process as it seemed as if he were sincere in building it for his own family...a place that truly was a home. Parks is a great company. This internet provider used to be too good to be true. As of last night when the service went down…read moreand NO one was monitoring the system and no one created a recording to let customers know what was going on (like they used to) I'm changing my mind about this company. Sadly, it seems to have gone way so many companies do...down! System is back up 12 hours later. I called the local Wills Point, TX phone number to find out what had happened and ask why there was no one on a recorded statement explaining the issue and when internet would be back online. I got someone that I couldn't understand half of what he said and wouldn't let me speak to someone that I could understand. I clearly wasn't in Texas anymore. When asked about last night's connectivity issue, he wasn't allowed to tell me that either. I'm not sure why he even answered the phone! Can not and will not recommend this IP. Too bad. It was the best one by far. Not anymore :(
