Also, it was personally delivered on the 31st of December. Yes, New Year's Eve personal delivery. It is unfair to only rate this business 5 stars. I recommend it!

I first encountered this secret, used furniture, charity shop heaven when working on a project that…read morerequired 10 vintage wardrobes. The staff were amazing, did us an even better deal as I was working for a charity and even delivered for a small fee. Since that time about 5 years ago i often pop back either for a mooch or when I have specific furniture needs. It's a warehouse space with minimal parking out front but you'll know you've reached the right place as you'll spot the mini buses outside. With regular pick ups it's the type of place you should visit regularly and if this one is a bit far out for you then they have a few other branches in Bilston and Coventry too. They mainly sell furniture but they also have a little room full of crockery, knik-knaks and assorted bric-a-brac. You will get a bargain here. I've bought two standard lamps with big shades for less than £25, midwinter 50's serving dishes and the most random printer table that looks like oversized books. Admittedly that wasn't designed as a printer table but it was the right size and i couldn't resist the whimsy of it. For all your vintage shopping needs, charity feel good factor and a good mooch you should visit here. Even if you don't buy anything the staff are helpful and give good banter.

I love vintage, but I can't always afford to sustain my passion. That's where Community Transport…read morecomes in. A huge warehouse full of old and/or vintage furniture, with a small little shop tagged on the side which has shelves of vintage homewares, ceramics, records, books and other trinkets - plus a large selection of mirrors! It works like a charity shop - the sales of all goods go towards sustaining the transport service in the area which consists of mini buses transporting people in need about. Awesome! More awesome are the bargains to be had - we got the weirdest drawer unit in the shape of a pile of giant books for £20, a 1970s set of decorative bowls for £12 and a large ornate mirror for £5! Win!

Today at 10:10 AM, I received a call from your delivery team while I was in a meeting. I…read moreimmediately disconnected from the meeting and called back--only to be placed in a queue. While I was on hold literally 1 minute later, I looked out my window to see the van already driving away. In total, they waited no more than one minute before leaving. I even ran down the street to catch them, but they did not stop. When I finally reached a team member by phone, he told me he would ask them to return. This was just five minutes after they had left my building, yet the delivery team flatly refused, citing their "schedule." They had already marked the delivery as failed, despite not giving me a reasonable opportunity to accept it. To be clear: I rearranged my entire day to be home for this delivery. For the team to provide a single minute's grace before abandoning the delivery is not only unprofessional but also utterly disrespectful of customers' time. At no point was I given notice that they were on their way, which would have allowed me to be ready at the door. I now have no choice but to rearrange my commitments again for Friday, hoping this time the delivery team will allow more than 60 seconds for me to walk downstairs. Am I expected to camp outside my building to ensure they stop long enough to fulfill their obligation?

The customer service agency's are absolutely terrible and unacceptable. The delivery team lads, I…read moreparked just a couple cars up the road from my own front door to witness the delivery team attend & not knock the door & took a photo of the door and went back to there van to drive off this was second chance at trying to get my delivery, I ran up & confronted the lads that then came out with every excuse as not to deliver the sofa including measuring with out a measuring tape or even seeing the property inside or door up close. I put pressure on and was not letting the item I already paid for go away so a a mix of myself and the delivery lads the sofa was delivered. We have a lot of stuff delivered off online inc large & small and medium no issues ever before, after google checks others have experienced the same issues. They Ignore my complaints and the attitude was disgusting , myself we waited for 4.5 hours after the delivery time slot start from on the second occasion in the car. Avoid at all costs this company, the RANGE and wilko use this company. In all the years I have never ever posted a negative or even a post with all the orders we have had over the years. The stress caused was unnecessary and not acceptable with for an item I had paid a lot of money for. The first delivery missed meant our daughter had a birthday at the new home without a sofa & on camping chairs and all our family, the second attempt meant myself and my autistic son getting up at 6 in the morning and sitting in the car outside the address in wait for a delivery that then showed up at nearly 10 o'clock any way, absolute jokers. Then the range are no good with there own service team with for issuies to be resolved or even talked about. Absolutely shocked at there hole attitude over myself spending a lot of money with this company. Avoid avoid avoid

After trailing around the shops in Birmingham, it became apparent that shopping for a suitable yet stylish outfit for a Godmother to be was not going to be an easy task with such short notice. Too small, too big, not smart enough, the list goes on! It was coming to the end of the day and we needed to buy an outfit. We opted for a skirt suit, the skirt fitted perfectly but the jacket didn't look as fitted as it could. We found Karlus' website online and made an appointment. He was really helpful and made my mum feel at ease. His attention to detail was perfect and my mum looked great on the photos. We have a wedding coming up and will definitely be using him again in the future.

He s recently moved to a swanky new studio on Vyse st above a jewellery shop. I usually make a trip with some random vintage dress I've bought that doesn't fit or occasionally with my favourite pieces that are now too big for me ( I've been shrinking a bit recently). Karlus listens intently to what I need and always delivers the dress improvements to deadline, sometimes staying late so I can pop in on my way home from work. He tailored a beautiful vintage suit that my other half found in a vintage barn and it now fits him perfectly...not bad for £30 charge. I couldn't recommend him enough and he ll be tailoring the other halves wedding suit and my mum s dress for our summer wedding!
