We take in older…read morerescue Newfoundland dogs to give them a good end to their lives and when we lose them, we take them to Mike Watts at Sleepy Hollow.. Mr. Watts is kindness itself and is so sympathetic. He makes the losing of one our dogs as easy as he possibly can. Each animal is cremated individually and we pick up the ashes the next day in a lovely box.. The price is very good for the service given, which is why we wouldn't dream of going anywhere else when one of our dogs dies.... In the 14 years , we have lost 27 dogs and one cat and Mr. watts has kindly dealt with every one. Such a caring man who obviously loves his own animals very much.

Like any good vet, care for the animal comes above any other consideration, that said isnt the cheapest. The vet itself is just off the crossroads on the way into Ammanford and only has a small car park (but there is other parking nearby) I believe their service to be excellent and worth paying the extra for.

Being a smaller kennels they are not very noisy at all with just two small kennels blocks set apart from each other. The owners are animal mad and Jim spends most of the day around the dogs chatting to them and letting them out in the exercise area, alternating so they each have a turn. Heated kennels with lots of fuss and kennels cleaned up throughout the day if soiled. You can take your own bedding if preferred and doggy kisses always seem welcome here :) I've used this kennels several times over the years with customers dogs for short and long term boarding and been very pleased with the service.

There are not many places in Swansea where you can buy a chameleon or gecko, as well as receive advice on how to house it and what to feed it! And if you fancy a tarantula you can get one here. Thay also have a great selection of cold water and tropical fish, tanks and accessories, and birds. You can also buy food such as crickets and mice for reptiles. This is a great little shop and I always enjoy coming here.

Staff are helpful and those in charge of the animals are the most dedicated I have come across. They are more concerned with the animals well being than making a sale which I find very commendable. They stock a good range of animal foods at reasonable prices. Also they stock one of the best local selections of wild bird food and feeders. When I have ordered in an item it has taken a long time to come in. It can be very busy on the weekends.
