This was the most unprofessional set of so called pros I have ever met!! This was my third time using the service. This time was horrible. I usually deal with one person, who cleaned my fridge, oven and 1.5 bathrooms. Last 2 times I paid around $150 plus. This time they had the never to charge me $350!!! I paid it too. Never again! They (3 pros) came complained about what they had to clean !!! What kind of cleaning service doesn't want to clean??? They came at 1:40p and didn't start cleaning until 3pm!! Then they did not clean the top of my fridge, the didn't clean the bottom of the oven and the did a terrible job at cleaning my bathroom floor. They made the experience so stressful. The AUDACITY!! One of the so called pro's said she had to make sure the cleaning was within their scope??? They are definitely worth the money, their products they clean with really don't clean.. I will never use the service again. HORRIBLE!! read more

TERRIBLE! This company has no INTEGRITY! If I could have gave them ZERO stars, I would have. I'm in the military and just moved into a beautiful house, wanted to get a fresh & basic clean before I started disinfected it myself and decorating. I thought this company could be trusted but they CANNOT! Should have done more research but I was in a rush to get it done. What you would expect from a professional cleaning company, you CANNOT expect from this company. I left them the keys to my house, which means no one was present while they were in there, and they took full advantage of it! *See pictures* I used to work for a cleaning company so I like a very thorough cleaning. And if you're anything like me and expect professionalism at all time. DONT USE THIS COMPANY. I contacted the company and expressed my concerns. They claimed to take my concerns seriously and offered a reclean. But one I responded I never heard from them again! They charged my card but services that I didn't even received. And I never received a reclean. I am a paralegal so you know I will definitely be taking legal action. Especially since the maids left a note stating the area they did not clean, yet I was charged 30$ it. Hopefully this company sees this message soon and offers up a refund of most of my money. This is my fifth month using this company and the first using the Newport News location. I have been satisfied with their service from the first cleaning. When I did have an issue with a particular "pro", I was given an acceptable credit and never had that "pro" again. The price is fantastic, the cleaning is thorough and all calls are returned with 24 hours. My new "pro" Tamara is my requested "pro" for future cleanings. She didn't engage in conversation but was about her job. I have had at least one who talked the entire time even though I was working from home. This was not the best experience. We hired maid pro to do a move out clean. Our 2 bedroom apartment is well kept and not dirty but we wanted to have a professional come out and ensure it was at it's best. The first pro barely cleaned. There were many missed spots. The 2nd pro that came out did a better job but still missed a few things. We paid additional for the refrigerator and oven to be cleaned and still had to do the oven ourselves. The customer service from the company was great so far in regards to communicating and sending another person out. **UPDATE!!!** Customer service was amazing and discounted me the service as this was not typically the quality of cleaning that they give. They strive to "wow" their customers and take pride in ensuring the customer recieves the best cleaning and is happy with the outcome. I was pleased with customer service knowing that if I was not happy they were willing to work with me and offer additional cleaning as well. I'm thinking the initial pro may have possibly had a bad day but the company will definitely work with you! read more

The customer service and maids that showed up were kind and professional. The actual cleaning however, was less than desirable. Our current landlords paid for the service because the old tenants didn't clean very well on the way out, so while I didn't have to pay for this out of pocket, I would have been incredibly upset if I did. After they were done we re-entered the home to see that the entire reason we called them in wasn't even handled. Shelves that were specifically pointed out to have residue and grime on them were still dirty. We were told the cabinets would get done and there was still sticky syrup-like substance on the outside. All of the mentioned above came off with a wet cloth, so it's not like it was some deep embedded filth that had stained the surfaces. There was soap scum in the tub, that even when I pointed it out to them, was wiping off with my finger; so when I returned to see that it was still there, I was incredibly disappointed. All in all, I spent an additional 2 hours cleaning up what I thought my landlord paid a professional to do and am trying to figure out where his $185 went. I would have been better off cleaning it myself. We will not be contacting them to assist with our move out cleaning when we are transferred and have recommended against their service to our military acquaintances. EDIT 8/5/15: The owner has contacted me and is very concerned with upholding the reputation of her company and is very understanding of my frustrations from original post. She has graciously provided me her number to discuss rectifying the situation and I will be calling her tomorrow when I'm not travelling and have ample cell signal. I appreciate her promptness and professionalism. Added 1 star to my original review. Will update again when applicable. EDIT 8/28/15: After chatting with the owner and the office manager we set up a time for different cleaners to come out and re-clean the house. Brenda and LaDonna are my cleaners today and are doing a FABULOUS job! My showers are smooth and grime free! They are still here, and still have the kitchen to finish, but based off of the work that has already been done I will be completely satisfied with the final product. They even gave me some very helpful tips to make my daily/weekly cleaning routine more effective and manageable! I would recommend these ladies to anyone looking to have their house cleaned. They really are paying attention to detail and take pride in their work and professionalism. I look forward to using maid pro again and will be requesting these ladies to service home (if they are available) when we look to have the house serviced again in a few months. Unfortunately, the cleaning was not good. The employees are given a set time to be done, but no one comes before hand to see what the cleaning entails. This is not an effective way to encourage employees to pay attention to detail which showed in the work performed. The first time I had to call to report things that were missed. I gave them the opportunity to do better, and the list of missed things grew. Fortunately, after much deliberation, the owner agreed to a refund but the damage was already done. I ended having to hire someone else to redo the cleaning and the things that maid pro doesn't do. Crazy experience that was. read more

We have used Maid Pro for the better part of a year now, and our cleaner Denyse has always gone above and beyond! We always look forward to our Tuesday cleaning and she takes special care when she's here to make sure that that our home is well taken care of. Denyse is so considerate; she always calls to let me know when she is on her way so that I can plan the rest of my day and she even let's my dogs out before she leaves so that they aren't cooped up in one room after she is done cleaning! Denyse really makes our home shine and with both my husband and I working full time, Denyse and Maid pro allow us to enjoy what few days we have off together. We have been a weekly client of Maid Pro for a bit now. If they send our regular person, April, the house is always very clean. If they send others, not so much. The others do not do our laundry room or our elevator and miss things throughout the house. Sometimes April can not make it and they only bother to let me know at the last minute so I end up no good choices. I have an alarm with an app that lets me know when they come and go. With April, we get the full four hours we pay for. With the others, we are lucky to get three hours. Guess they figure they are fooling me, but I can tell by the look of the house. Today, I got a notice that we would be getting a 22 percent raise in their fee, effective tomorrow, our normal cleaning day. I suspect once again that April may not be able to make it tomorrow as they have not answered my email about that. Again I will be left with no good choices and they will expect me to pay the additional 22 percent like they are the only cleaning service in town. While April has always gone above and beyond for us, it would appear her support in the office is lacking and they only give us lip service. They started out great at the beginning; we had two people assigned and then they switched to one. From where I sit, it looks like we will be looking for another cleaning service. read more

Maidpro was hired to clean my elderly grandmother's house. We have gone through at least 7 or 8 different people from them who clean her house. Janet was the first to clean her house, but someone was often taking her place because she could not make it. Then several other new girls would come clean for her, and it was a hassle. They would always show up late and my grandma wanted them out by by 1pm. She attempted to reschedule for mornings, but they never returned her call to do so, and they sent her a new girl on her last day of service who was also late. The cleaning was just okay. I would go through and find that the tops of surfaces had not been dusted and under the toaster i found crumbs where the counters had not been completely wiped down. They would spend up to 3 hours cleaning and not even make the house immaculate in that amount of time. Poor customer service overall. Cleaning was just okay. read more

I must say I was disappointed. All the emails and reviews that I had read seemed like they were going to be very professional. However they ended up only cleaning about 90% of the house. They missed the microwave oven completely, the stove top was not completely clean and the mudroom floor was still dirty. They vacuumed around the throw Rug in the bonus, but not under it. They also missed a lot of small things like where they dusted, they got most of it, but not all of it. After all the hype I was very disappointed. I canceled my service.
