Imagine my surprise to find that my credit card had been charged $15 more than it had been charged for the last 8-9 months. When I called, to inquire about this, I was told that the increase took place because the square footage of my home warranted a higher fee. Now, let's go back a year ago. I explained to MOTR that while I have a 2400sqft home, that 2 of the 4 bedrooms, one bathroom and the bonus room (which is 600sqft) would NOT need cleaning. Why, all of a sudden, and based on the square footage, would they charge me more? The same rooms are unused and the square footage of my home hasn't changed. The woman said that they didn't have any notes on my specific needs and that they charged me based on sqft alone. I can understand that, actually. It's plausible that someone didn't make note of WHY the fee was as low as it was. What is absolutely unacceptable, however, is for Maids on the Run to CHARGE my card, more than they had, with not a single call or email to discuss it with me. That, readers, is why as of tomorrow, I will be canceling my service with Maids on the Run. This is an unacceptable business practice, and regardless of whether they returned the $15 or not (which they did) I have no intention of dealing with a business based on dishonesty, when I have been a respectful customer through and through. read more

I have had Maids On The Run several years ago long-term and just returned back to them after moving back to Riverside. The service offered by Maids On The Run is impeccable. I highly recommend them to everyone. In addition to cleaning services they offer al a Carte services as well, which I have put to use in the past. Kara and her team are dedicated and wonderful. At first, I was very impressed with their service. The maids were always friendly & did a fantastic job. I loved coming home to an impeccably clean house. The reason for the low review is due to their administrative procedures. They charged the wrong credit card twice, blamed me when I didn't get a reminder call (I wasnt home to let the maid in) and kept contacting my ex-fiance after I had insisted he be taken off my files. Definitely trying another service until they have cleaned up (pun intended) their administrative processes. read more

The initial service was great. Lately I haven't like their service. I've had to complain several times about the shortcuts they take when cleaning. My last experience was they sent two people to clean and did a really poor job. I guess it's standard practice to skimp on the cleaning. I'll have to let them go and try another company. read more

Maids on the Run have one employee that does an outstanding job -- if you're lucky enough to get her, you'll be pleased with their services. I have been with them several months and have had many different people come to my home, and all of them lacked the attention to detail I was looking for except for one. The staff who answer the phone and handle emails are helpful, and the ladies who come to clean are always nice and courteous, but the quality of the cleaning is subpar. Would NOT recommend. Received this service as a Christmas gift with the request for Deep Cleaning NOT regular weekly cleaning! Stated I wanted baseboards wiped down, fans cleaned, all window sills wiped. Employee was pleasant but I was told all the "we can't do" things as soon as she walked in. One was -we do not get on our knees. Knew right away this was not going to be DEEP cleaning. Will look for individual NOT a company next time. read more

DO NOT HIRE THIS COMPANY!! The owner is downright rude and attacks her customers. Kara is a horrible owner, spineless and could care less how she treats people... obviously the customer is never right! We let her know that there was a key under the mat on a Tuesday and 2 days later Jennifer from the office called to let us know that her worker called in sick and that they weren't going to clean that day but would on Thursday. They then called on Thursday to say that her worker told her that there was no key left under the mat. I spoke with the owner, Kara, yesterday and all she did was attack my character, basically calling me a liar about the key not being under the mat (which it was the ENTIRE 7 days) and making every excuse for her employees. This owner is delusional, disrespectful, and doesn't know the basic rule of treating people with respect and has zero class! She even sent me several text messages that were meant for someone else. The owner is very unorganized and can't even send a simple receipt. The only way we received receipts was through a horrible quality screen shot from her phone. The cleaning wasn't even done right. When we asked for something to get cleaned, Kara just gave us unprofessional excuses that made zero sense. We just purchased a few more properties which we will now have someone else clean. I WOULD NEVER RECOMMEND THIS COMPANY FOR ANYTHING, not even to pick up dog poop! read more

Overall they are ok. However for the price I've had much better service. They don't spot clean the walls nor clean the baseboards. The ladies were very nice and polite but they work as fast as possible so they missed some areas that should have been dusted. They did offer to come back out and clean the areas that they missed but I saw no point when I am able to clean better myself. If I decide to use a cleaning service again I'll use another service, an actual FULL service cleaning service. I had better cleaning from a lady I found on bookoo.com for much cheaper before. read more
