We were walking around Boise and stumbled upon this. I am not a huge vinyl user, so this is coming from someone with little knowledge on this, but from what I browsed I got excited. The back has some beautiful posters to look through. I almost bought one of their t-shirts I liked the design so much. Prices seemed reasonable here. Honestly, I was wildly underwhelmed after how much it was hyped up. It reminds me a bit of Zia Records in Phoenix, but a version that has kind of lost the plot. Their record selection was much smaller than I was expecting, as the knick knacks and gifts have all but swallowed the store. I understand in this market, to survive you gotta sell socks...but the sheer overwhelming amount of tchotchkes prattling to Swifties and pop culture made the shop seem incredibly dorky and visually overwhelming. It felt more like a tourist spot than an actual record store and was not very relaxing to browse in. Not to mention how pricey the tchotchkes and such are. $8 for a sticker? No thanks. Their t-shirts have a premium as well, at least $5-10 more than other local record stores. The record selection was...okay. They had some cool stuff as far as reissues but the markup was high. (Which I understand because distributers already charge a premium). The used records were alright, I found some cheap gems in the $2-5 range that were in the VG+ range. But it was nowhere near what I expected. I still supported them, but I doubt this would be a return spot for me since I'm spoiled by Zia and Amoeba. I love what they provide for the community, but it's probably not the spot for more serious record collectors who want to browse without a bunch of kids yelling next to them.

After my mother passed, we were left with two storage units of her home goods as she was in…read moreassisted living. We set up an appointment with Shawna at Golden Goose, and my brother and I went to meet her at the storage unit location. After waiting for 30 minutes past the scheduled time and leaving a voice mail for her, we decided to go about the rest of our day. Shawna called my wife and was very apologetic saying that she had wrote down a different time and date. We rescheduled with her for the following week. This time 5 minutes or so past the appointment time, my wife called me to tell me that Shawna had called her to let her know that she had a nose bleed and was going to be late and that was if she could make it at all. I called Shawna and explained that we were waiting at the units and she agreed to come after she got her nose to stop bleeding. When she arrived she looked over the units very casually, took a couple pictures without moving anything out, and told us that she would have the contract drafted up and to us later that afternoon, and that they would get everything out by the end of the month (June). We did not see any quote or contract come through that day, the next day, or even the next week. I eventually called her to see what was going on and Shawna told me that her business partner had looked over the pictures and determined that they did not want to move forward. I explained that that would have been good information to have days ago as now I am paying another month of storage fees after Shawna had told my wife, brother, and I that it was all good and they would get the stuff out before the end of the month. She said that she was looking for other estate sales companies that she could refer us to, but failed to let us know that there was going to be an issue with what we were originally told. I feel as though the whole thing was nothing but red flags, but we wanted to support a local small business. We will still support a small business, just not this one. This whole debacle was handled poorly, with little to no communication, professionalism, or tact.

After doing business with these folks for the year, on numerous occasions, I never received items…read morethat were bid on and paid for. Most of these items were jewelry or gemstones. Immediately, they offered to refund on most items, however, I bid on the items because I wanted the items. They were not helpful in locating or resolving the issues. Many of these items, I was told they had been taken to their home and they would locate them and be in touch. Zero follow up and I had to make all of the phone calls. Things appeared deceptive and a resolution was not to be found. I call this theft or stealing. I feel like people need to know what is going on in their business, because I know I am not the only one who did not receive items that were bid on and paid for. The ladies working were excellent at communicating with us and letting us know what needed to be done before we went there. To be honest there really wasn't much to be done but we had a lot of questions because we didn't know what to do. They were both very patient with us and made it a smooth process. The gentleman behind the counter that went to retrieve the vehicles was really friendly as well. Plus the location itself is a very clean and bright. They also sell vehicles on consignment so if you're looking for something then you might want to check this place out.

They are incredibly inconsistent and cherry-pick what they want to take, changing their standards from one day to the next with no clear explanation and being rude at the same time. Worse than their poor communication is their total lack of accountability. They actually lost items that I entrusted to them for sale. I also saw some of my items lumped into another persons auction. Getting in touch with them does no good. Do yourself a favor and take your valuables to a reputable auction house instead. There are several in the area that do a much better job, won't cherry pick, won't loose your items, and do not charge as much. Please choose to consolidate your things elsewhere.

They're getting stuff for pennies on the dollar and it's basically all profit for Musick, not unlike for profit "thrift stores." Musick apparently doesn't do any due diligence to try to get sellers the best prices they can and apparently set no reserve prices or anything and they have no incentive to do so! If stuff doesn't sell or if it does, they still get half and they keep the rest and sell it otherwise! They do not return your stuff that doesn't sell or that they let go for pennies on the dollar. And there's not good customer communication with sellers or this wouldn't be such a big shock!!!
