We accomplished this without any sleep training with Lee's help. The best part about Lee is that she adapts her guidance to the needs of each family and doesn't have a one size fits all approach. She was easily accessible for any follow up questions and is amazing with babies! Lee was a phenomenal resource for our family during our transition into parenthood. I can't recommend her enough. A few details: Post-partum: We worked with Lee to craft a personalized post-partum support schedule that helped us transition to being new parents. Our primary doulas were Kate and Beth, both of whom were amazing. They were generally with us 4 nights per week from 9pm-7am. In addition to caring for our baby overnight so we could get some much needed rest, they were a source of knowledge and comfort. We felt our baby was very safe and secure with them and trusted them 100%. We also had a few day time visit where we could ask questions, try out new things like baby wearing, and get out of the house. Sleep training: We decided to sleep train our baby at about 4.5 months. Lee came to our house and stayed for 3 days straight. During that time she coached us (most important part of sleep training is training the parents that everything will be OK!), monitored the baby at night so we could rest, took extensive notes, and left us with a detailed plan of action. We were amazed at house much progress our baby made in those 3 days. He was literally sleeping through the night and falling asleep/putting himself back to sleep with minimal crying. Lee provided a month of ongoing phone, email and text support, where we could ask questions and plan for things like sleeping elsewhere, car rides, disruptions to our schedule, etc. We give Doulas of Philadelphia our strongest endorsement. If you are looking for highly experienced, professional, loving, and kind people to help you transition into parenthood or when you are expanding your family, definitely consider their services.

Celia has no backbone in the 3's classroom, she doesn't have any control over her class and as a result you won't be able to work because they will call you to get your kid because they can't handle it. Stephanie up in the front is amazing and I have nothing bad to say about her, but she went on maternity leave recently and as soon as she went on maternity leave, the owner Nihti started targeting my son. I spoke with Nihti in the office which is when she told me kids are a number on a clipboard there. She is completely and totally only in this business for the money. And it shows. Her BEST staff Miss Ashley recently left around the same time Stephanie went on maternity leave. Because of their lack of GOOD staff, they will kick your kids out of their school. They've been open for a year and Nihti told me she's had to let go of multiple families. Tell me you don't care about the kids without telling me you don't care about the kids. They've also don't care about their staff at all. Stay FAR FAR away from this place. They also don't teach the kids ANYTHING. The classrooms are zoo's.

Ms. Liz the director is so hardworking and dedicated to the kiddos, and much more hands-on than I've heard of directors at other daycares. She is also super accessible and communicative. The teachers have all been great. The cost is extremely reasonable compared to other places and includes treats like music day, yoga (!), pizza day on Wednesdays, snacks, etc. I love that it feels like a small in-home daycare but has the resources of a larger chain daycare. The photos and videos through the brightwheel app make my day. They also make all kinds of holiday crafts with the kids to send home to us. I have my laminated mother's day handprint + photo hanging in my closet :) Also looking forward to someday taking advantage of the Parents' Night Out babysitting they occasionally offer. This also includes not shying away from having the difficult conversations not always easily received by children nor parents based on a wealth of experience and conducted with grace. The value of this unique skill can not be overstated and helps pave the way to a sometimes new and very necessary communication cadence within families as our children begin their journey to becoming truly independent adults. Academic Accesses approach is thoughtfully constructed with purposeful nuance in every facet of the work. I particularly love the essay writing team/writing muse/editorial process. It gave me the confidence to not dig into my children's essays which would have resulted in them being MY essays - a situation admissions departments see straight through. With two very different children their final products were radically different and both made me weep providing a different type of opportunity to truly "see" my children in all their glorious blossoming independent ways. Chesterbrook Academy - Newtown Square has been the worst childcare experience of my 13 years as a mom. In our experience, the environment was cold, harsh, and deeply unsettling. When children are sad or crying, they are placed in a so-called "cuddle corner" and intentionally ignored--no one is allowed to speak to or comfort them until they stop crying. Teachers follow a strict "no response" approach, meaning kids who are screaming, throwing, or clearly distressed are simply ignored. The level of rudeness, judgment, and lack of warmth from staff has honestly left me bewildered. My child came home crying many days, saying the teachers yelled at them--and I personally witnessed teachers yelling at children right in front of me. Leaving your child in someone else's care is already incredibly hard. You expect compassion, patience, and basic emotional safety. That was not our experience here. I can't speak to other Chesterbrook locations, but Chesterbrook Academy in Newtown Square is one I would strongly urge parents to avoid. If sharing this helps even one child have a safer, more loving experience elsewhere, it's worth it
