I can't speak to the quality of their insurance services because I've been unable to get in touch with anyone. I've called over the past week and left three separate messages for two different agents, and I haven't received a single callback. This doesn't give the impression that they're very interested in earning new business. If my own employees handled potential clients this way, I'd be very concerned. read more

I've been with them for 20 years. I would be devastated if I had to change for any reason. Even though my account is very small potatoes, they treat me like a big time client, and have helped me feel secure in my dealings with them in every way. The office setting still has a lovely small-town feel, but their business dealings are top notch, up-to-date, high tech - the best of both worlds! read more

Main Street Financial Group's roots date back to 1928 and to two small Western North Carolina communities. The Brady Agency in Tryon and The Blanton-Flack Agency in Forest City, both began serving the insurance needs of their communities about 80 years ago by developing lasting relationships with neighbors and friends. Today, that tradition continues as we have grown into one of the nation's largest independent agencies through our partnership with Keystone Insurers Group. We put your interests first by doing our very best to provide you with the most complete solution at a reasonable cost. That promise - our philosophy - has remained unchanged since 1928.

Meet the Business Owner: Tripp F.

Tripp began his insurance career in 1983 after graduating with a degree in Business Administration from UNC-Chapel Hill. A Partner in Main Street Insurance Group since 1983, he holds the Certified Insurance Counselor (CIC) and Certified Work Comp Advisor (CWCA) designations. He is a member of the Independent Insurance Agents of North Carolina organization. He is privileged to serve on the Board of Directors of the Robert and Janice McNair Educational Foundation, the Rutherford County School Educational Foundation and the Piedmont Council of the Boy Scouts of America. He is a member of the Forest City Kiwanis Club and attends the First United Methodist Church in Forest City.

Not a good insurance agent. I had asked to cancel a life insurance policy. It was a never…read morecanceled, so I was charged another month. I called into cancel it again. I got charged a second month. Got into a argument with the agent, said he would refund the money. That refund never materialized. If you decide to go with this agent, make sure to get everything in writing. Whether it is a policy cancelation, or a quote.

This agent has no ability to be civil and offer customer service. He cost me several hundred…read moredollars on an insurance quote he offered changing it and saying that the person who quoted it no longer worked there. Also was not able to handle simple changes to my policy by correcting incorrect VIN numbers so I can legally register my vehicles. Dropped our homeowners insurance because we had a washing machine on front porch when they came to take pictures. Tried having an adult conversation with him and he gets loud and argumentative and will not listen to my complaints. Avoid this agent at all costs for it will cost you. Allstate is great but this agent is not. Brags about being in the insurance industry for 7 years but doesn't know anything about NC laws. Obviously gets mad because he can not honor the lies he offers. Tries to justify everything by blaming everyone else. Customer service is the customer is always right. Need to learn a thing or two.
