An amazing live band was the most important thing we wanted at our wedding. We are fortunate to live in an area that in the summer has endless bars with live music. It is our favorite thing to do but we are also very picky. We had full intentions of hiring one of the local bands we love and having them make the trip. After one meeting with John of The Goody Blue Shoes that all changed. His energy, expertise, and good vibes are infectious. You can tell that this is more than just a job to him and he goes above and beyond to build a relationship with his clients. Even though he had other events going on we always felt like we were his only couple and he always made time for us. John goes over every detail and was almost like having a second wedding planner. His main goal is to make your wedding day perfect in any way that he can. No is not in John's vocabulary if you want something he will make it happen. We could not have been happier with the whole planning process and John made it as stress-free as possible. The band is incredible, our guests cannot stop talking about the band and how amazing they sounded. We had one guest tell us they wished they had heard them before booking their band. They said they are 300 times better than the band they hired and would have flown The Goody Blue Shoes to Maryland! Another guest told us it took him a minute to realize that it was the female vocalist who was singing during our ceremony not a recording. There was no back drop (my maid of honor was told the backdrop would match the design on my shower invitation )or anything fancy on the picture. Literally just a white backdrop with a white piece of paper with the pictures and the year( not wedding date) and our names. We told the kid working the booth to leave the book with our things to be picked up the next day so we could get it and he did not do that. I recommend using a different company!

Hand to God, when I saw him at my friends Wedding, dead air, while he rushed to the back to put on a new song. There is no DJ. There are no transitions between songs, that aren't being sung by a live band, and, the tracks that are used to fill while the band plays, sound like they were ripped from YouTube. The insane amount of $$ that is spent on that band, should be spent on that man getting a vocal coach. Quality is important. People don't pay a cover or save money for a Wedding, to receive anything less than the highest standard. There are 4 girls in that band and my only reasoning is that it is to cover what this man is working with. Not that they don't have talent, because they do, they are the saving grace, but it's total overkill. They look bored out of their minds in these cookie cutter dresses, that look itchy, which is a sin. The band, as far as instrument wielding musicians, go, is very tight. Which is why it surprises me that they utilize so many background tracks. They don't need them. If they stripped those away, threw that guy in the trash, let the girls be more individual from one another, and got a DJ/singer, they would be golden. The shop has a large selection of guitars mainly but some other stuff like drums. The guy at the counter was fairly helpful in explaining what needed to be fixed. I asked a few basic questions about what to know, how to play, etc. which he answered plainly. He took down my information and I was able to drop my guitar off. He said it would be fixed by next week. I got a call and was able to pay for it and pick it up. He cleaned it up also which I appreciated. I grabbed some picks and went about my day. Now I'm doing some research on the basics but it all came out to be around 65 dollars to change strings, tune it up plus labor. I would recommend if you're needing to fix up an instrument, the staff is knowledgeable and able to answer most of your questions.

The teacher seemed nice, if not a little unhappy to have to be working with 3 year olds, and the man at the counter was very pleasant. I definitely don't see a reason why I would be back here to buy anything, and wouldn't consider lessons for my kid until she was much older.
