I had asked for a quote upfront. He said he needed to "figure it out," gave me an initial price, and then increased it by 40% with zero explanation. When I questioned the sudden jump, he became angry, turned himself into the victim, and began verbally abusing me for asking reasonable questions. What was supposed to be a simple thirty-minute tow ended up costing $30 per mile because he demanded it. This kind of predatory behavior is unacceptable. I will be filing a formal complaint with the Attorney General's office.
