Your only other choice for shopping in the Oxford/Anniston area is the Quintard Mall. While they offer different stores, the Quintard Mall is a lot older and run down, which makes shopping at the Exchange the better option if you have to choose. There are several stores here, including Target, Best Buy, TJMaxx, Kohl's, Old Navy, Bed Bath & Beyond, Petsmart, Rackroom Shoes, Kirkland's, Dick's Sporting Goods, Hobby Lobby, Lane Bryant, Ross, Dressbarn, Merle Norman, and a few more. If you're hungry, you can go to Olive Garden, Longhorn Steakhouse, Golden Corral, Mexico Lindo, or Arby's. There's also a 49 degrees (frozen yogurt) and a Dunkin' Donuts.

There's also American Eagle, Aeropostale, Victoria's Secret, Bath & Body Works, Hallmark, Rue 21, Payless, Spencer's, Avon, Icing, Claire's, etc. Campus Spirit sells a lot of Alabama & Auburn items if you're into that. You can get a haircut at Mastercuts or Regis. Regis is more expensive and busier, but there's a reason for that. Moon Day Spa offers eyebrow threading & waxing for $10. You can also catch a movie at Amstar Cinemas, which is the only movie theater in the area. The food court doesn't offer a lot to choose from. Sbarros shut down recently. There's still a Chick-fil-A, Great American Cookies, Max Orient, and American Deli. I usually eat at American Deli, which has decent gyros & a really yummy peach punch.

Fancy high-end lodging where Goldie Hawn and her husband had a top floor suite in which to stay to support their son who was playing ice hockey at UAH? Check! Ashton Kutcher-backed restaurant? Check! Sushi on a sizeable comfy outdoor patio replete with heaters? Check! Choo-choo train that trollied around the complex, full of young one's honking its horn? Check! Sidewalk entertainers? Check! The parking was sorely needed! This is not my go to shopping center. It is my go-to happy hour destination and moderate dining at Connor's [my last remaining favorite BS restaurant]. To me, it is overrun with franchises, as nearly all of Huntsville is! And, being outdoor, it's subject to the weather! Bring a small umbrella if in doubt, you'll thank me later! Also, know there is underground parking on the south end and 2-3 story parking at Belk close to Connors. Do visit BSTC, it's nice that they have a Ferris wheel, and I believe some type of boats available on the far east side, and it's dog friendly in the shopping common area where you'll see plenty of folks with their 4-legged family member.

My Mom said she didn't want anything, tasted mine after we walked away and had us turn around so she could order something for herself. She ended up ordering "The Joshua" - shortbread latte with milk and honey and cookie crumbles. Hers was too sweet for me. She loved it though.

The area is very clean and during busier seasons like Christmas, the area offers police to manage traffic. I do most of my shopping online now but I love to come to The Summit as a special treat to myself because it feels like just that when I visit one of their stores or restaurants. My favorite stores here include Belk and Sephora.
