I made an appointment for my Mini Schnauzer here because our regular groomer was ill. I was…read moreoptimistic when the gentleman told me it would only take 1 to 1 1/2 hours from start to finish. When I got there to pick her up I saw the problem. He had totally cut her beard off. I informed him she had a mat in her beard when I dropped her off, but with our normal groomer this is not a problem. The mat is removed and she still has a beard. After I got her home I realized that her haircut nowhere near resembled a typical Schnauzer cut. Her legs were completely shaved down, eyebrows and skirt shaved off. My Mini Schnauzer is unrecognizable. The worst part is that it cost me $10 more than at our original groomer's. Do yourself a favor, go see Four Paws Only in Benton. She is so friendly, but very reactive to other dogs, and when triggered would lose her mind to the point that the police had been called because it sounds like I'm killing her. Enter PUPS. Firstly, it is so clear how much Chelsea and Phelan love dogs and what they do. I would trust them to take care of all of my dogs. As to my crazy hound, she was a changed canine after their program. I can walk her, take her places without her losing control, and have established clearer boundaries and expectations. I can even bring her to work with me! I received frequent updates with videos of how they were working with my dog and directions on how to respond to problematic behaviors. I left with instructions on how to maintain the positive changes that had been taught to her. Any time I need help or guidance (and I mean ANY time) Chelsea is there for me and my Peanut. I just send a text and maybe a quick video, and I get a detailed, helpful response tailored to my dog and her needs. If you have a pup who is giving you a run for your money, bring them to PUPS. While we waited for our board-and-train spot, we met with PUPS regularly for training sessions both at home and in public settings to address immediate needs. This included walking calmly in public, polite door greetings, and setting clear, consistent expectations for our new GSD. Throughout the process, Chelsea and Phelan were always quick to answer our questions and explain why certain approaches work, which made a huge difference for us. The amount of knowledge I gained from working with Chelsea and Phelan is immeasurable. They are approachable, understanding, compassionate, incredibly knowledgeable, and true advocates for the dogs they train. After our GSD completed her board and train, friends and family could not believe how calm and well-adjusted she was. They helped her find a healthy mindset and, just as importantly, taught us how to carry her progress forward at home. Our GSD has developed such a strong bond with Chelsea and Phelan; she is always happy to return for boarding. I called to get my new cat in for needing ongoing health issues and was told I had been fired from…read morethem! I hadn't been there for quite awhile. I didn't need veterinary assistance since my other two cats had passed. My bills were always paid and never had any confrontation with them so I don't understand what they are talking about about. I hadn't been there even volunteered alongside Dr. Danner at a local soup kitchen for awhile and we got along great. I just don't understand. And then they wouldn't tell me why. very rude staff! I deserved a reason for their accusation. I don't recommend!

Paws and Claws was a disappointment. I brought my big male cat in for a grooming and asked what…read morethe cost would be. The owner replied "Well, it starts at $45 and then we see. We do the grooming, clip the claws and check for mats in the fur." I figure maybe $60 or 65. I come back in 25minutes and it's $75. Best I can tell they did what they said they're were going to do. So where's the difference? I expressed some shock and she largely blew it off. The kitty was not happy about the experience (it is his first) and apparently peed. Well, that's part of the business, is it not? Did I get charged $30 for the pee? I don't know but it was unreasonable to charge $75 for under 30 minutes and nothing special. The owner is mostly a fast talker and less personable. I will not return. Also, they have a sign up in the lobby that warns: Only CASH or CHECK.
