From coming here for my first concert ever to see Three Days Grace and Breaking Benjamin. Since then i have come here for more concerts than I can even count or remember. In some manners you can see the age of this place but it still is a solid option to attend a hockey game (Maine Mariners instead of Pirates now) or a concert/event. Due to its smaller size you can't really have a bad seat. Even what would be classified as "nose bleeds" here don't compare to major areas/stadiums. One issue I do wish were better here and just in general better for events would be the prices for food/drink. Like most places that host events they are too high. Parking is easy enough with options of street parking and parking garages nearby. Recently my wife and I attended the first televised professional wrestling event since 1997. All Elite Wrestling (AEW) put on an amazing show and strictly speaking in terms of their show it would be a five star but overall the venue could use some updating. Despite that if they are hosting an event/concert you want to see it I would reccomend going.

It was convenient that I could purchase Lot A parking in advance to ensure I was able to get closer to the building since my wife had surgery recently and had limited mobility for long distances. The staff at the Center are very friendly, helpful and willing to go out of their way to assist. One lady was nice enough to retrieve a wheel chair for my wife and walk us to the section where we were located. It was on the other side of the Center from the entrance. Prices for most food is commensurate with typical arena and stadium prices. Water will run you about $4, but I believe the beers were running close to $40 for 16oz cans. The ambiance of the Center is very dependent on who is entertaining at the time, but PBR does a great job with both music, entertainment and commentary throughout the entire competition. I had no issues while here and leaving took an acceptable amount of time if you knew were to position your vehicle in the various lines that made up the exit line.

Concessions were solid (good selection and not outrageously priced), and the staff were friendly and efficient, even with a packed crowd. Parking can be a challenge, but if you don't mind walling a bit it isn't too bad. If you're anywhere near Orono during hockey season, catching a Black Bears game at Alfond is a must. The event itself was so much fun - we will definitely do that again! The waterfront park is beautiful. Clean. Pretty. Spread out. Convenient to downtown. I want to come back in the summer when the docks are in.
