Small, unassuming Asian restaurant located on the main drag in Bathurst. Though advertised as a Thai, Chinese and Vietnamese restaurant, the cooking style is definitely Chinese more than anything else. That said, the food is tasty and they cook it so the stir fried vegetables come out with the right crunch! We had the Vietnamese spring rolls, the vegetable fried rice (made without meat on request), the stir fried shrimp with crispy noodles, and the spicy shrimp. Every dish was distinct in flavor and included generous portions of vegetables, the latter being important for our group. I was in Bathurst for work, was surprised when I saw Mai's. Best Asian restaurant in northern NB. The owner is very nice and they have the beat service. I tried their pho and imperial rolls, they are amazing. But they are closed on Sunday sadly... If I ever come back to Bathurst, I will definitely go again. read more

Good Vietnamese /Thai food is hard to find in New Brunswick. I am very glad to have found Mai's. Their wonton soup is some of the best that I have had. Sorry there is no picture but once I tasted it, the last thing on my mind was taking a picture. I also enjoyed the spicy chicken with vegetables. The owner said the sauce was a Vietnamese/Thai fusion of his own design. This will be a regular stop whenever I am in Bathurst. read more

Pretty good. As close to authentic Asian food as you will get in northern New Brunswick. A bit costly compared to other established (think Toronto or New York) China town restaurants...but Mai's is a good choice for lunch or dinner. Menu offers diverse choices..and they can make it as spicy as you can take it. read more
