The country of Aubagne, the hills expensive to Marcel Pagnol. The local But I am for the spirit of hills there, and more exactly Garlaban. The road of Pagnol. It is not the day, an order of the prefect limits strolls in the massif, the excess of wind, fire risk, thus no visit. Then the visit I would make her only, with the GR, more the panels on Pagnol I should arrive there, (and if I thread tennis it is better). I did not make the hike ride of 20km to discover completely the famous circuit and pass on the tracks of Pagnol. I rose up to the cave of Plantier more exactly Manon's cave of Sources. An exceptional view sight in the hollow of hills, no cicadas, no rumours, and by place many wind. And in this just silence by closing eyes you will can can be to hearunderstand Manon who calls these goats(tackles)!!! It is the spirit of hills there, it is everywhere, in the slightest bush, in the smallest stalk of thyme or rosemary, in the tree bent and emaciated under the mistral, in the sun which will warm you because it makes one autumn time, in rocks, and pebbles, throughout the ascent, because it is really necessary to want to rise there above. The spirit of hills it is the road of make her of May, the well of Raimu, the mas of Massacan, the farm of Angele, the valley of Marcellin, Holy Spirit's bars, the new ancient country-house, Balm source spring, Taoumé, the cave of Grosibou, all the childhood of Pagnol, but especially Provence to the pure state, unchanged Here is the spirit of hills, he keeps preserves intact the memory of past with an accent of Provence and lets us take advantage, (when the prefecture authorizes him), of this piece of hill. And stake has part the vegetation which it changes at the rate of the seasons, everything stays eternally ready. And even if I have no soul of big sportswoman, and that I chose the shortest road only two hours, j ' deeply hope to return to it, (on horseback for example), by wishing that this place remains protected, and for even for a long time so appropriate and beautiful as he is already.

Couldn't psss up the chance to visit THE "my mothers castle"…read more The interior of the building itself is mostly a museum now. Dedicated to movies and a little but to pagnol. Somewhat interesting. But it's really the exterior and the grounds that make this place. Perfectly peaceful in the hills. We drove up on a Sunday afternoon and there were many families enjoying a gorgeous afternoon picnic. But not crowded at all. Just a beautiful example of the wonderful French countryside

This is another must-see historical site to see when you are in Marseille. Unfortunately, due to…read morethe time constraints, we were not able to purchase a ticket and go up on top to walk across for a spectacular view of Marseille. Inside this contemporary museum, I understand it really shows off the beauty of European and Mediterranean culture. As astounding as all the displays are, one thing visitors should be aware of is the museum's photography policy. They have strict restrictions on photography, which they take very seriously, so adhere to the strict rule during your visit or risk losing your phone or camera. Very close to the waterfront and a great place to tour inside as well as the outside for stunning visuals. As for ticket prices, I cannot comment on those since my husband handled all of our reservations and admissions throughout the trip.
