My hopes were not high because I had been to three or four costume stores in Germany, none of which even had bunny costumes for men. Well, Witbaard had *exactly* what I was looking for - and I cannot wait to dress up for Karneval season in Köln! This place is simply an awesome store for costumes and props. They have outfits ranging from various colors of Lederhosen to pirates to fairies. They also have party supplies such as garlands, confetti, streamers, and even national, city, and gay pride flags, too.

Looking through past reviews, it's clear why this spot has such a strong local reputation. Customers consistently rave about the customer service, the incredible variety of colors and arrangements, and how long the balloons actually stay inflated compared to standard shop options. The staff was super friendly, attentive, and helpful in answering all my questions about setup and options for an upcoming birthday celebration. It's a great neighborhood gem on the Rozengracht for event supplies or balloon arrangements--definitely deserving of 5 stars!
