They have lost two loyal customers of 5 years. Never had an issue before but they charged me $5 dollars for a "special shape" when I just asked for more rounded nails. They have never charged me more for almond etc but now apparently they do. They also called us to say they needed to charge us $17 extra for my mother's dip manicure because apparently French is now extra as well? And a cuticle trim and other "manicure" services are extra and not included in a dip manicure. I understand that cat eye nails may have an extra charge but there was no sign (other nails such as chrome have a sign indicating an additional charge) and it was not communicated to me. I feel like they are nickel and diming for everything and things that were once included are now "extras". They didn't offer any kind of partial refund for the confusion etc. We always tip well so not sure what the deal is. Very disappointed. read more

Twenty minutes later a lady asked if I wanted a drink and turns on the water for my feet to soak and said they will be over in a couple of mins. 15 minutes later still no one. This was my first visit to this salon. The salon itself is well decorated and comfortable. And, from my greeting at the desk, I was impressed. I knew I wanted a manicure, but wasn't sure what kind. I've received service from this place quite a few times without any problems. I drive more than 10 miles from my house & pass many credible nail salons as well. I requested to receive service from my normal tech by appointment. But when I arrived for my appointment, I was told she was off for the day. The nail tech they assigned to me refused to do my nails because she said my appointment wasn't with her. And to think about it, she's always rude. The receptionist was all over the place & NO ONE IS HELD ACCOUNTABLE . While driving home, I noticed I had an uncharge on my receipt of $5.00 for long nails. I have mixed feelings about majestic because the location to my house is great the atmosphere and ambiance of the place is well and the drinks are good the staff are nice but the prices don't really match the experience of the nail techs. Prices are higher because the area we live in and I'm fine with paying that as long as my service match the price which sadly is not always the case. My nails barely last a full 2 weeks without looking like I need a new refill. Other places in the past you could go 3-4wks before getting refills and I do color powder but ‍ I've found 2 decent people that I stick with Kimberly/feet and Henry/nails. read more

I dont understand how this place doesnt have more stars. I have been several times and service was top notch. They have a full bar, the place is nice and clean with huge tv screens. The atmosphere is real chill. Ive been going to other nail places closer to my home but I will be driving 15 min out just so I can keep my nails looking fly. They keep my shellac nails looking fly. If I bring them in a picture from pintrest trust and believe your naiis will be looking like it or dang near close to it. It usually last two weeks but if theres any issues you have so many days 7 or 10 i cant remember, to get them corrected. So happy with all the work they do. Give them a try. I originally had a 5-star review written out and saved in my drafts until Majectic Nail Bar really f*cked up and made me take my business elsewhere. I've been coming to Majestic since they opened, and right off the bat I was impressed with the clean, bright, large interior. The nice bar with frozen drinks and cocktails, and the kindness/skill of their nail techs. I was seeing Dora for months, and I absolutely LOVED her. She's amazing at getting the perfect acrylic shape and always worked so fast and efficiently. But the reason I give them 2 stars is because of how AWFUL management was recently. I had booked a mani/pedi about TWO months out for my baby shower. I made sure I was booked because it was the ONLY day I could fit it in before my shower. No biggie? They had always been good with appointments, and I had never had to wait longer than 5 minutes with an appointment, I show up 10 mins. early, and they tell me it'll be a short wait so pick out my color. No problem, right? Well now it's 10 mins past my appointment, and I watch two women who had appointments after me get sat and started. The girl working the front desk was clearly new, as I had never seen her and she looked like she had no idea what she was doing. I asked her when I could start, as I had a 6PM appointment. She told me they had NO nail techs available right now and they got busy out of "nowhere." Excuse me-isn't that the point of a damn appointment? So you get served first when it gets busy? She told me it would be another 15-minute wait, so I sat there. Another 20 minutes have gone by and no nail techs look even close to being finished. By this point, it's 6:30... they close at 7. I'm PISSED, 8 months pregnant, and clearly am not getting served any time soon. I told the girl I'll just leave and she meekly apologizes. They didn't offer anything or try to see if I could reschedule or give me a discount on my next service. I had to drive down the road to some random shop and beg for them to see me before they close at 7. I will never come back here because it's clear they don't know how to prioritize their work and treat their returning customers with service. The only reason that I didn't give a 1 is because despite all the issues, the Manager really was trying to be dedicated to fixing everything and making it right. However, overall, I gave this place a chance to redeem themselves and they disappointed both times. The first time I came was a Friday night. They took me in for a full acrylic set and a shellac pedi 45 minutes before closing, which I appreciated. The salon is very nice and clean, the chairs are comfy, and the extras were extensive. They actually have a full bar menu. That is awesome, but at the end of the day I went there to get my done and that's what should be priority 1 when reviewing a nail salon. When doing the full acrylic set, the nail tech filed my nails so thin that one actually snapped underneath the acrylic a couple days later. It was really painful! When I went back a couple weeks later, I let it go and wasn't too upset. I said that I didn't want acrylic because of how bad the tech did and showed them my nail that had broke. They apologized and offered to comp the shellac nail service I wanted. However, then they assigned someone to do my pedicure who was brand new- it was his first day. And the shellac was done very poorly. The guy had to redo two toes, he had to keep getting redirected and trained during (even had to get shown how to plug in and operate the nail dryer) and he was extremely rough through out. On top of the bad pedicure, the tech doing my hands had to redo a couple, left shellac stuck to my fingers and the shellac started peeling three days later. Again, the manager knew they messed up a lot, and tried to make it better....but a nail place needs good service AND experienced techs. They need to get better techs before I will ever come back. My nails look awful and although I think they should be the ones to fix it, I don't have confidence that they'd even be able to do a good job the third time. read more

If you're in a hurry my quick review is- great new place, a little pricy, clean and friendly staff. Alcoholic drinks are offered (not just beer an wine but liquor too). My first instinct was to give 3 stars; however, the reason for this wouldn't be the case every time. This is a brand new place that just recently opened in the new shopping area by Walmart. I was excited to try it! I was looking forward to a nice QUIET relaxing atmosphere on a Sunday afternoon (around 2:30pm). Unfortunately I did NOT get that, hence why I wanted to give 3 stars. I wish when I walked in the receptionist would have warned me there was an 8year olds birthday going on. The kids were loud and the facility was playing kids music including the birthday song on repeat.... by far NOT the relaxing I was looking for. Getting ready to go back to work and having a little One myself I look forward to this "me time". If the party wasn't going on I feel like my experience would have been better. The two ladies who were working on me were very nice and did a good job, they took their time which I appreciated. I got the lavender pedicure (~$35). I believe her name was Vivian- did great! The pedi included the usual clean up, scrub your heels and hot towel wrap and an 8min massage... I'm not sure the lady who did my nails as there was no name tag and she didn't introduce herself. I got the dip powder color(~$45). I was pleased that she took her time though I had asked for a more natural shape and ended up with the dreaded square nails. She nicked me twice on one hand when she was filing/shaping them. I also got an eyebrow wax (~$12)from the same lady who did my mani which turned out well. Overall I was pleased- not blown away by any means. I wish I was offered a drink refill and a stern warning before sitting down about the birthday party going on and a better nail shape. read more

Absolutely the worst place ever. I made an appointment for a pedicure for myself and my daughter. I got there and we started to have a decent pedicures, but then a giant group walked in. They all wanted to sit together so the kid (male) working the front desk walked over to my chair in the middle of my pedicure and told me to move. I said I didn't want to--the tech was still working on my nails and my feet were in the pariffin bags. He said I had to move NOW. He was incredibly rude. They did not make my daughter move, I guess because they only needed five chairs next to each other and she was on the end. So, I was moved to another chair across from where my daughter was. When I checked out, I complained about this to the lady (maybe 30s) working the desk. She was horrified. She said that party was a walk in and her employee should've never asked me to move, especially MID PEDICURE. However, she did not offer any discount, just a vapid apology. I left a a review about a month ago trying to be as nice as possible while addressing the problems that I had at this salon. What I got in response from the manager wasn't an apology (I wouldn't have cared to get one either way) but a comment blaming ME for not knowing my nails would start peeling a week from my appointment and for not telling anyone I understood Vietnamese so that they would have known not to talk shit about me.. maybe try NOT talking about customers right in front of their faces. And I was never asked if I was Vietnamese/understood the language, but that really doesn't matter. The competition for nails is VERY high, I agree. Went to get my nails done on 11/13, I sat down with I believe Kim, she seemed rushed and I knew from the start my nails wouldn't last long by the way they were falling off already from the start with glue. $35 for acrylic nails, awesome. I wanted them a little longer and that was $10 more, I don't understand why when I already paid for acrylic plus $5 each hand for the tips. Long story short, I have had to stop at another nail salon now twice to fix Majestic's horrible job. All around, I have spent $100 on this set of nails. I had 3 broken nails from simply opening things! Wasted my money and I tipped her well on $60. Never will try them again as nail prices keep rising and product is going down. :( read more

I love this place, I come literally once a week. However, new hostess/receptionist is extremely unorganized. I called ahead to make an appointment and was told there was no need to make one for an 11am arrival. When I arrived at 10:55 there was a line of about 5 people and I ended up waiting a few minutes. After seeing that all 4 people in front of me had already begun to receive their services I proceeded to tell the curly hairs hostess that I had a flight to catch and was in a bit of a hurry, which is why I attempted to make an appointment earlier. She sat me in a chair and I waited another few minutes. 15 minutes in total, when I was told not to make an appointment, and there was no wait. Other customers are also irritated by her lack of professionalism. Maybe better training is in order. I keep going to new nail places, but this is my new favorite. I came in at around 6 and they were happy to help me with my nails regardless of them closing at 7. The nail tech Trish, was incredibly kind and welcoming, and helped me pick my color. She even offered me the drink menu so I could have a nice Mixed drink while she did my nails. She made friendly conversation with me while I was there, and spent SO much time making sure the color and shape of my nails was even and perfect. Trish is amazing!!! I highly recommend Majestic Nail Bar. They're always taking extra precautions to stay clean during this time. Everyone is wearing their face mask, you have to wash your hands before picking your color, and then your seated 6 feet apart.
