everything started Great however when it came down to settling I was informed of the court date less then 6 hours prior to the court date which I wasn't able to attend being the law firm sent me the information within hours of the court hearing. I believe some people would at this is very unprofessional of a law firm. After that when I missed the hearing the original lawyer who I signed paperwork came down to Sacramento from San Diego or LA I forget but in my opinion to try and persuade me to sign paperwork which I didn't on the spot being there other associates had called me to pressure me and get me to sign the second offer that was sent. After I didn't sign it the fallowing days I revived a email and phone call basically threatening to not receive any funds on the representative side of things which wasn't much. For me being a class member representative of the case. the pressure I felt let me to believe somthing wasn't right and I signed it in the end just to find out there still not exactly settling at the moment. Even tho they were putting some serious pressure on me to sign. I recemmeber other firms like the one I found for my sister after i hired these guys. based on my experience I would give them 1 star. For many reason I'm sure there aware of like we're going on 5 years and still haven't settled. read more

I contacted Makarem & Associates regarding three separate matters over the course of a year. I emailed Ron Makarem who was always quick to respond to my emails. Ron Makarem would tell me he would have his staff contact me for information but his staff never did so. I would email and call the office but nobody ever responded to obtain the information related to my matters. My three matters were subsequently settled by other legal counsel but I was and am extreemley disappointed with my experience with the staff at Makarem & Associates. Based on my three experiences, which were all handled disrespectfully and unprofessionally, I cannot leave Makarem & Associates anything more than a 1 Star review. All bad, I called this place and spent 25 minutes on the phone with a rep that said, we'll be giving you a call back in 24 to 48 hours. 3 days later no phone call from them but my phone has started receiving spam phone calls and text messages. I wasn't getting these calls/ texts before I contacted these lawyers. It seems like this place sells your contact information. How annoying is it to call for help only to have your private info sold?
