She then calls the bride to tell them to find someone else and when they do she keeps the deposit. The bride has enough on her plate to deal with the last thing a bride needs is a makeup artist to tell her three weeks out she doesn't have the staff do the job! She has been very unprofessional and refused to refund any deposit at all. Hard to work with! Not affiliated with Chamber of Commerce or Better Business Bureau of AustIn. When I was planning my wedding, I was back and forth on whether I wanted to get my makeup professionally done or not. I've always been pretty good at doing my own make-up, so I wasn't sure if it was necessary. Who was I kidding?? Getting your makeup done professionally, especially by Jessika, is such a wonderful experience and so worth every penny! I went for the more dramatic look, Jessika made me look like a movie star. I've never felt so pretty. Let me tell you, Jessika has some magic makeup, the makeup she uses last all day! She applied my makeup at 11AM, I walked down the isle (in the rain) at 2PM in the middle of June and through all day wedding festivities it still looked like I had a fresh face of makeup late that night. Two of my bridesmaids got their makeup done and theirs lasted all day as well. Not only is Jessika an amazing makeup artist, she is so sweet and talented in so many other areas. Jessika saved my wedding!!! As we were walking out the door to go to the chapel, my bouquet fell apart. My bouquet looked so bad that there was no way I could use it... Jessika kept me calm and worked a miracle! She put together a beautiful arrangement by using what we could out of my bouquet and pulling some flowers from a few center pieces! How amazing is that? I saw a Groupon for a lash lift treatment at this location and decided to give it a whirl. First, the booking experience and communication for the appointment were excellent! An accident on the mopac meant I was going to be late for my scheduled time (unforeseen, I left with PLENTY of wiggle room but we all know how accident traffic in Austin can be). I called to let the shop know and they were very accommodating in pushing my apt out a bit due to the u expected delay - 5 star! The shop itself was small but clean and well appointed. The room where I received my service was cozy and comfortable with blankets and pillows on offer for additional coziness if desired. My esthetician was friendly and talked me through the whole service - including explaining how the process worked and the products being used (they touted the treatment as less harsh and more "natural" than typical services). Admittedly, I am new to the lash game so this review does not have any previous experiences to compare results against or chemical vs natural products to know if one is better or worse. Check-out using the Groupon was quick and easy and so was tipping (my esthetician had a Venmo code up in the room). The only reason I can't give a full 5 stars (I would give 4.5 if I could - come on Groupon) is for two reasons. First, and this is something that happens at all beauty type appointments but it is annoying, products were pushed/recommended at check out. For me, I'd much prefer to only learn about products if I ask. If I don't ask then I'm not looking or interested and I dislike when I feel that I'm trying to be upsold at the end of an otherwise great experience. Second and this might just be my needing to manage my own first time expectations, the end result isn't as dramatic as I was expecting. I guess I expected it to look like I had false eyelashes. My lashes do look like they have a light coat of mascara on but it isn't as dramatic as I was anticipating but that's probably because I was thinking of lash extension results or false lash look and that's not what I got (so again, that's on me). Overall, I did really appreciate the space and service and I did rebook another appointment (and I plan on adding on an eyebrow gloss as well). I do appreciate the shop not using aggressive products to achieve their results and overall it was a good experience. I also think their regular pricing is pretty on par with what I've seen around Austin (but for sure check out Groupon to save a few bucks).

She is such a warm and inviting and knowledgeable esthetician- you can tell she truly loves what she does and really puts the effort into learning about your skin and giving it the best treatment possible. I have gotten three microdermabrasion treatments there and I can absolutely notice a difference in my skin! She changes out some of the products she uses each time to address what is going on with your skin at that time- it's very custom and she explains everything that she uses and what it does. I'm currently at work completely barefaced after a treatment there and don't even care because my skin is absolutely glowing. I just had my eyebrows done there today as well and WOOOOOW. Definitely more expensive than an average wax but WORTH it. She must have spent almost a half hour waxing, plucking, combing and trimming every hair for optimal shape. I will definitely be trying out some of her other services!

We had our allotted time changed FOUR times, one was because I was sick and did not want to pass it along. She did not scout the area in advance so much of the time was spent looking for a spot that worked. She originally told me that she did not have time to do my makeup but when I showed up with makeup from another salon she said she needs to touch it. This is so she can put it onto her social media saying she did it. I told her no. Her husband said my make-up and hair (paid and done by someone else) was do-able. I hate that every time I look back at these photos I will remember how horrible Yona made me feel about myself. She constantly told me to suck it in, move a certain way so I wouldn't look like i had a stomach, a double chin or hunched. I explained to her that some of this is due to the fabric of the dress and not myself. But the other half was due to pandemic weight that I was consciously trying to loose. The photos that we ended up using were the ones that we suggested and arranged. We cut the shoot short because I was tired of not being supported in my shoot. We paid about $250-$300 for a small edited group of photos. **disclaimer** yona reached out to me on Instagram about the review and her 1st response was I got the number of edited photos sent to me. I deleted said number and put some. She did not apologize for making me feel bad or about her remarks. She is not a woman that supports other women.
