Ignoring a concern involving client privacy and misinformation shows a lack of accountability and professionalism. Clients should be able to trust that personal matters and conversations connected to a salon visit remain private and are not repeated or acted on without verification. That trust was broken here, and the complete lack of follow-up made the experience even more disappointing.

During the haircut, she even told me twice not to cross my legs--something I've never experienced at any salon. I asked to switch stylists, and was told I'd have to pay extra, even though the issue was not my fault. Ruby then claimed that because I agreed to a graduation in the back--which she suggested--she had to ignore my other requests. I cried in my car on the way home, devastated. $160+tax for a ruined haircut and a traumatizing experience. I can only hope no one else has to go through this. Without exaggeration, this was the worst salon experience of my life.

I got married about a month ago and I am so glad I found Jen! She did hair for me (bride), 4 bridesmaids, and 2 mothers. I did a trial with her and MUA Jackie before the wedding, but I later changed my mind and wanted a different updo. I showed her photos of what I wanted on the day of the wedding and she managed to pull it off! I highly recommend Jen to all brides. She is professional, prompt, and most importantly, very talented! I appreciated that she brought magazines for us to read while she did our hair and had a candle burning and music playing. She also give me a small perfume as a gift! After an iffy trial with another make-up artist, I found Bride and Jen and booked a trial. I was extremely impressed with the trial, both Jen and Tracy were on-time and incredibly professional. After the trial I booked Jen and Tracy did my hair and make-up for my wedding in the Seattle area. I am incredibly happy with how I looked on my wedding day, and Jen was so easy to work with! She created a day-of schedule, and really kept to it. She and Tracy handled me, my bridal party of 4, and two moms and they finished on time. Jen was super easy to work with from scheduling the trial to the day of. I am new to the area and am looking for someone who can make me blonde, I only get my hair bleached twice a year to minimize damage. I booked a full foil and consultation so I would have plenty of time, I know my hair is time consuming because it is dark, my roots are long and it requires heat to lift well. After having sent her the pictures of me, so we're clear the expectations were achievable, and talking to her about my desires she began the foiling process. I don't know how it ended up so bad. My highlights are chunky and thick, I like them feathered, stated this to her as well. I spent $285 including a $50 tip, she said she gave me an extra hour, but most of that was spent with me under the heat processing. Also before the appointment she insisted that I let her know if I was not completely happy with the results, most salons will fix it if you let them know promptly, I let her know within 2 days of my appointment and instead of offering to fix it she recommended me to a friend of hers at a different salon. My highlights are thick and chunky and growing out horribly, I am going to have to spend another $200 elsewhere to hopefully have them fixed. I have never had service like this before and am so disappointed in what is seemingly a very nice salon. I have worked at and been a client at high end salons my whole life and have never had a service that wasn't fixed for free. I am genuinely disappointed and will never return. I gave 2 stars instead of only 1 because she as a person was sweet and my hair felt healthy when it was done. Not going to name the stylist, don't want to throw her under the bus but if she reads this she knows. I hope no one else has this kind of experience there. During the trial she did two hair styles, neither was 100% what I wanted, but she planned to do things from each of the styles. She did my airbrush make-up, with false lashes, during the trial as well. After doing a trial with Jessica, I had concerns that my hair would not be exactly like I would want it, which was a true vintage style with 2-3 large pin curls and a high/big swooped bang (think vintage hollywood), but after spending $205 on the trial ($100 hair, $105 make-up), I hesitated to book another stylist. The day of my wedding Jessica arrived on time and did hair and make-up for my mom, sister, younger cousin and myself. Everyone's hair and make-up turned out well and Jessica did do touch-ups prior to leaving. My hairstyle turned out very well and I had many compliments on the vintage look. Jessica nailed it! She did however, leave before helping us place my veil into my style. My mom and sister handled it, but we were disappointed she left without helping; she did practice with it during the trial. We have received our wedding photos and video and I was disappointed to see that in photos taken 1 hour after my hair style was completed, the curl/bobbypin was falling out and sticking off my head at a 90 degree angle (we were not running, in the wind, etc.). This may be minor, but when I paid over $200 for a stylist, I'd expect my hair to hold for that time. Thankfully my mom and sister were able to fix it when I arrived to the ceremony site. Several other photos post-ceremony also have hair in the back falling out of the pins, which was very disappointing. The other's hair and make-up held fairly well throughout, but did have a few pins fall out as well. Overall I was happy the day of (which is what mattered), but disappointed after seeing the photos (which is what we have forever).
