Established in 2008.

The Maki Law Firm started in 2008 helping those with Criminal Law, Social Security, Unemployment and Veterans Administration, and Immigration Issues. Currently, my focus is primarily on assisting those trying to legally immigrate to the United States. Personally living and working in Asia for over 5 years gives me personal knowledge and experience with legal immigration issues you will not find among most other immigration lawyers. Though my primary focus is on immigration, I also do occasionally assist those in need with MN Estate Planning, MN Criminal Defense, and Veterans Benefits issues - all on a case-by-case basis. A goal of the Maki Law Firm is, and has always been, providing the highest professional quality while maintaining the most affordable prices. Meet the Business Owner: Scott M.

I, Attorney Scott A. Maki, was born in Minneapolis, Minnesota and raised on Minnesota's Iron Range. I made my way to being a licensed attorney by joining the US Army right out of high school and then using the G.I. Bill to attend college. This modest upbringing helps to provide insight into the issues that are most important to Minnesotans throughout the state. Some of my noteworthy personal lifetime accomplishments include being a decorated Artillery Paratrooper with the 82nd Airborne Division at Fort Bragg, North Carolina; being a Certified Member of American Mensa; living and working for over 5 years throughout Asia, and being a living kidney donor to my daughter.
