I found him on Yelp and called for a quote to get my armrest reupholstered and he quoted me the LOWEST price out of the 8 or more shops that I called. He does work out of his home but don't let that fool you, his work is on point and he was able to do it for the lowest price, I'm assuming because he doesn't have the overhead of brick-and-mortar shops. When i arrived, he came out and removed the armrest and i asked him to do it with red stitching and he did it without charging me more. I needed the cloth covers replaced on the A, B, and C pillar covers on my 2004 BMW 325Ci, since the original cloth had separated from its backing and was hanging down. I removed them all myself after following some youtube videos and brought them to Carlos, who works out of his home. We looked at a large variety of fabrics and discussed the pros and cons. I ended up choosing a thin black fabric to replace the original sand beige colored cloth. Two days later Carlos called and said they were done. I came by to pick them up and was surprised at how professional they looked. Needed some stitching along a curved area and that turned out perfect. He also painted the plastic seatbelt adjuster inserts on the B pillars for no extra charge. Carlos did very nice work for an excellent price and finished them a day earlier than estimated! Plus he was friendly and easy to work with. I'll be using him for all future auto upholstery work, for sure. read more

Don't do business with this place. Very unprofessional, poor quality work, and sloppy job. I came to Maldonal's to replace the foam padding of the driver seat. When I came to pick up, I noticed the padding was uneven and lumpy. I told him this is a terrible job he did. Another guy came out the house and removed it so he can fix it. 30 minutes later Carlos came out and installed it with the other guy. I was still not satisfied. I just wanted to leave. I told him I'm not paying full price so he only discounted $25 dollars, terrible. I later found out my power seat stopped working. read more

This is a long overdue review! I contacted Carlos several times over the last year, pricing out a convertible top replacement for my '98 Mustang. Unfortunately, it took me a while to buy the top and have the funds ready to complete the project. When I reached out again, Carlos quoted me the same price for the labor he did a year ago to replace my convertible top and reupholster my visors. I chose Carlos because of the rave reviews and his proximity to me. Unfortunately, I caught him moving to his new location, which is spacious but was further away. I don't regret driving a few extra miles because the quality, timeliness, and price were all worth it. Carlos and his crew did an amazing job installing my new convertible top and reupholstering my torn visors. I asked about recovering the seats, and he even went out of his way to find the right fabric, although this will be done later (mostly until I have the financial resources, as the price is more than fair).
