This is a little hole in the wall place and what I mean by that it is really a hole in the wall; but AL is great person and he does amazing work. I personally have used him twice before and then my wife wanted something done so I took her to him. She brought him her fabric and measurements and told him what she wanted and he knocked it out of the park. She was so happy when we picked up the finished piece, so we gave him a little bonus of (2) cases of water and a loaf of home made banana bread on top of his very reasonable bill of $200. Re Upholstered recliner. Wife got mad at me and took a box cutter and slit open my favorite recliner in 3 different sections. Al repair it for me and replaced all the cut sections with new leather and now it looks as good as new. I reached out to Al early April, we agreed on the service to reupholster two sofa chairs. We also placed the order of the fabric which arrived a week later. Everything seemed to be going well. I took my chairs around April 15. I didn't ask how long the work would take but assumed it would be anything between 4-6 weeks based on other Yelp's. I didn't hear from him, so I reached out July 7th. He told me it would be two more weeks at the most, and he acknowledged there had been a delay. It's now August 7th and still no chairs, so I texted him. He replied, no work had been done to my chairs. I am beyond disappointed and sad. I picked up my unfinished chairs and my fabric. I waited and counted on him for 4 months for nothing. read more

My late mother-in-law had a wingback chair that had been passed down over the generations. She had it reupholstered in the past, but the current condition was extremely worn and torn. We took it to Albert and he did an amazing job! His craftsmanship exceeded our expectations. This was our first time working with him and when we got to the shop, he took time to get to know us, listen to our story and explained the process. We felt very comfortable leaving our family heirloom with him. Some notes: his price for labor varied depending on whether or not you ordered the material from him, but after calling around for different quotes, his pricing is still comparable if not better than most. Material selection through the shop was limited so we chose to pick up our own outside material. Turnaround time on our piece was 3 weeks, just as he promised.
