Malibu Contemporary Art Gallery is in the Lumberyard shopping plaza on Criss Creek Road in Malibu. Plenty of free parking close by. I've passed this gallery many times, but earlier my furbabe Fendi pulled Me...insisting we walk inside. The blonde male staff Chris was super cordial, welcomed Me and Fendi in and was pleasant as he narrated descriptive information on the current Art on exhibit. Currently, Textile Art was on display, using cut fabrics in different colors and textures to create art works. This gallery showcases contemporary Art from renowned Southern California artists and has been here since 2005. It's my faux pas for just now stepping inside to browse through. When you're in the Malibu area, make sure to include a visit to Malibu Contemporary Art Gallery, the art collection is a visual amazement. read more

It's exciting to have this gallery open during Covid times and have so much space outside so that you can social distance see art, participate in openings and buy art. I'm so excited that I bought a Mick Jagger print from legendary photographer Guy Webster who I got to meet last year before his untimely passing I also got to see Beach boys live virtually at another show. i'm looking forward to showing rare Beastie Boy photos from the 80's I am printing for the first time on Dec 5 along with some iconic images of them. read more

I live in Pacific Palisades and there is nothing like the beautiful art that I found today in Malibu at the Malibu Contemporary Art Gallery. They are so careful about social distancing and at the same time made me feel warmly welcomed They have a Casamigos complimentary tequila bar set up for the holidays with complimentary engraved shot glasses! Top to bottom the art is what I would have in every room of my Southern California gone. read more
