Staff don't bother to find tables for you; they let customers figure things out among themselves. Alright. We eventually grabbed a table after 5-10 minutes, then had our order taken 10 minutes later. The food took a long time to come out: about 40 minutes (other than 1 appy that came out after 20). Good thing it was tasty. We got: -plantain fries (€6) -- tasty, especially with the sweet dipping sauce, but you get about 8 fries, so not great value. -okonomiyaki (€12.90) -- this was wonderful. So many lovely textures, flavours, and seasoned beautifully. This was the highlight of the meal for me. -vegan plate (€18.90) -- really nicely designed plate, with a base of brown rice, with a sort of Japanese slaw, vegan chicken katsu, tempura (apparently, though I didn't notice it), and stir fried veggies. Super tasty stuff. Not the biggest portion, but not bad either. My friends each got the crispy roti wrap (€14.90), which they loved, and the taste I had was great. Overall, great food, not the best dining experience. Perhaps my experience wasn't representative. I'd go back for the okonomiyaki alone.

The staff was charismatic and genuinely helpful with the menu, taking time to explain dishes and give recommendations without ever rushing me. I ordered the black charcoal ravioli, which was rich and unique, and also tried the beet ravioli. I loved their creative take on raviolis. They were colorful, fresh, and full of flavor. The presentation matched the taste, and both plates felt thoughtful rather than gimmicky. It's the kind of place where you can relax into the atmosphere and enjoy food that's both beautiful and satisfying. Perfect for a slow meal with friends or a solo stop when you want something a little different.

Oh my god. YUM. My friend and I were looking for a dinner spot and she was vegan - I stumbled…read moreacross Hearth and immediately made reservations. This delicious spot is off the beaten path of the more touristy spots in Amsterdam, located on a quiet side street. We absolutely loved our meal - with clear influences from french, asian flavors, and italian. We started with a delicious amuse bouche by the chef, followed by the "pate" and fresh bread. It was earthy and good; a solid start. Our main dishes were truly a treat! We split one of the gnocchi options - the tomato sauce was delectable; I truly could have licked the bowl - and the black mushroom ravioli - so much delicious umami flavor! We ended with the peanut butter brownie and, let me just say, I am UPSET that we decided to split one instead of ordering our own! The service was a delight - they were so kind, clearly wanting us to enjoy the experience!

I came in at about 7pm on a Friday evening and it wasn't too crowded but it became crowded by the time I left. The interior is full of pinks and greenish-aquas, very aesthetically-pleasing. Since I was alone, I ordered three appetizers and a drink and it was just enough and almost too much. The broccoli/cauliflower was good. Get that. The mushroom croquettes were normal (still good) and the mustard was fuchsia but tasted normal. Get that if you like croquettes. The flavor of the artichoke was excellent but the artichoke was not very meaty and hard. I would try it again. The banana boozy shake was huge and a very sweet treat, not too boozy. I was glad to have water to go with it. The food comes out of a window in the back under a neon sign that says, "You're appreciated." The service was not too slow and I felt like everything was well-paced. I highly recommend a visit.
