I brought in a pair of Thursday Captains and needed new soles and heels. The service took about a week and after I took them home and had a little bit of time to look at the repair I started to notice a few things I didn't like. First off the cobbler didn't remove the old stitching and put the new stitching on top of the old one he didn't reuse the existing holes and skipped a whole bunch. the length of each stitch was about 3 quarters of an inch long for each stitch. He didn't counter sink the stitches on the bottom so I wore though them in a day on some areas. For some reason he nailed the heel through the top instead of the botto. In order to do that he tore the inside footbed away from the bottom of the boot and nailed the nails through and then just placed the piece he tore away back down. Within a week I started to feel the nails and the remaining parts of the footbed started to wear through where the nails were constantly rubbing. And then he painted the sides of the new sole and heel to match the color of my boots and that also started to peel and chip away within a few days. I would never have this cobbler do any work on any of my boots again. If you value your footwear and spend a lot of money on them you do not want to have him work on your boots. Side note before he did the repair he commented on how nice the boots were and that he would do really good work on them cuss he could tell they were quality boots so if thats his good work I'd hate to see his usual work. I have other boots and shoes like Iron Rangers, 1000 mile, Park Avenues and more expensive Thursday's but I wanted to see his work on my least expensive pair first before bringing him others and in that aspect I'm happy I did. read more

I remember this business being wonderful but boy has it changed. I brought a purse in and they kept promising it would be ready and then it wasn't and when I finally got it back the zipper sticks and it's sloppy. It was expensive too. I'm disappointed and never going back. read more

I have been a customer for over 15 years @ the Shoe Mall. On 5/18/20 I picked up my high heels that I left to cut down the heel. They were Black and white stripe high heels. WELL I got home and measure my heel and lord and behold it wasn't even cut down. They came back with same measurements. That's because even when I picked them up the the gentlemen tells me it looks like they have been cut down once so we cut a little bit more and charged me 13.00. When he told me that I remembered that they can't cut high heels only to a certain point because of the arch. Well they are not honest people. They didn't cut them down. I was very disappointed not that they didn't cut them down but the fact that I have been going to them so many years and to lie to my face WOW!! So be careful when you deal with this people at this Shoe repair store. They lost my business for good. SMH read more

I moved here in 2008 to work as a professor of costume design. This has been one the best Kobler's I've ever gone too. He has saved my shows a thousand times. He really knows how to repair shoes, dance rubber shoes and has a vast stock of shoe maintenance, coloring and repair items. He also does repairs very quickly. They have great customer service and I highly recommend if you have a heel go out or your shoes need to resoling this is the place you can go to save yourself a ton of money rather than buy brand-new shoes. read more
