It's pretty easy to hop on the bridge from the Kentucky side, as that part of town is extremely walkable. The bridge has two sides to walk (or bike) on. I'd say it took me about 20 minutes to walk the entire thing, and I saw the cars zooming by, but the walkway is safely separated from the road. I found the Indiana side to not be quite as walkable, and it took an oddly long time to get to the opposite side to walk, but the walk back was just as nice -- and I was able to take pics of Louisville walking back! If anyone wants to take a spontaneous walk or bike across the bridge, this one is a great choice.

I saw my bill for it, and with EZPass it was still nearly $14 to cross. This one, however, if you can put up with a bit of traffic you can make your way across this bridge an onto the Interstate fairly easy. This bridge, on the Indiana side doesn't look very impressive. But once you cross the Ohio River and are in Louisville, it looks a bit more majestic. It does spill right out into the downtown area and makes for a grand entrance. The bridge is heavily used by the locals and people like me to bypass having to pay an unnecessary toll. Noticeable from the bridge is the biggest KenTacoHut I have ever seen... Oh, what? That's the Yum Center...ok, that makes sense.

It was opened in December of 2015. Its namesake is in honor of President Lincoln and his birth place of Kentucky. It's a $200 million dollar modern six lane suspension bridge over the Ohio River and it is drop dead gorgeous. I have my EZPass so moving through is a breeze. Travel is so much easier in and out of Louisville since the bridge has opened. There are no toll booths so if you do not have a pass then you will receive a bill in the mail and it is a little more expensive. So get the pass! The pass can be used in a number of states so it is a handy thing to have.

Middletown frost gas station is a very small and historic marker spot just off of old Main Street…read morein the Middletown portion of Lousiville Kentucky. Middletown and Shelbyville road is a hot spot for entertainment and places to eat. Always full of traffic and action. However if you go back one street to Main Street it's more of a Historic old town vibe and while driving Main Street you will find this little gem. The gas station is a one pump station that's the size of medium sized luxury bathroom. Very cool and fun find.

This beautiful park is located in the historical portion of Jeffersonville, IN…read more It's on the Main Street of Court and was brought founded in 1887. Now you will step into a piece of history all around you while you're here. This was a Civil War era site that was used for hard tack for soldiers. They have trees in this park with blood stained stress of the past. They have a monument of democracy that is on display that highlights the accounts and accomplishments of the founding of what it means to be "free." How many centuries of strife and struggle that we endured and still have today. Be proud of your ancestors and what they accomplished and remember the past. Walk in the park and enjoy the parades and celebrations that the city puts on. This is a little beautiful slice of history and heaven here. Walk out and see what was and has been preserved for you.

The park has plenty of nice area to sit and relax and they have a couple cool sculptures that you can learn about us history. Including the visually impressive Thomas Jefferson statue. Overall cool and nice park that is a good place to just hang out and enjoy a day and take in some sights.

Thin legged horse rack is a Public art sculpture that doubles as a functioning bike rack off w…read moremarket street in downtown Louisville Kentucky Created by artist Samantha Griffith as part of the "bike rack" art initiative that consist of local artists making unique and interesting sculptures that double as bike racks and spread them throughout the downtown area. This live is a red horse with really long thin legs which I assume is helpful for the bike rack part. Overall it is always fun coming across the bike rack series in the city and seeing unique artist interpretations of a bike rack.

Created by a local artist for the downtown area this is a fun designed park bench that doubles as a place to sit and a fun piece of public art work. Overall always fun to see and experience local treasures in the city. There is a placard on the ground that has the artist name as well. So it's great to give these artists there shout outs too for making our city more appealing artistically.

Located in downtown Shelbyville near the county courthouse, this marker points out the history of a…read morestructure that no longer exists. It sure sounds like quite the place. The marker reads, "Established in 1859 by George A. Armstrong and was known for its good food and lodgings. Guerrilla leader Ed Terrell stopped here briefly, May 26, 1866. Attempting to escape, he was mortally wounded nearby. Brigadier General Henry H. Denhardt was slain here, Sept. 20, 1937. When the hotel was destroyed by fire on February 7, 1944, the owners decided not to rebuild." There is street parking along US-60 and several parking lots in the area.
