Not only was I told when I left the earring for repair that there will be no fee as this will be done as a courtesy! but she also phoned me after one month of waiting to ask me to send a photo of the other earring as she could not find the one I left with her...Then 2 weeks after, she calls me back to finally pick it up but I need to pay £45.00. I refused to pay reminding her this was a promised courtesy. She raised her voice at me on the phone...very rude. How ugly to do that to a customer...

I could spend all day looking around Grays Antique Market. The indoor market is ideal for cold and…read morerainy days. The two floors are filled with various stalls and exploring can keep you warm and dry for hours. There are about 200 antique dealers inside the market, not all were open but the vast majority were doing business and happy to help you. Most of the stalls seemed to sell jewellery and watches. I saw lots of pretty shinny things, but the price tag on some might preclude excess buying. The good thing is that the dealers are willing to make a deal. A watch I had my eye on for a Christmas gift was out of my budget but after a chat at the counter I was able to talk the owner down a bit to something I felt a little more comfortable parting with. If you go to the market the two things you must check out are the sliver shop on the first floor and the lost River Tyburn!! The silver shop has really beautiful pieces and I feel in love with an antique silver compact. As for the River Tyburn I thought it was just a little water for the sake of decoration until I was told it's the River Tyburn. I don't know how true that is but I left believing it was true.

The jewelry were bright and bold and evoke such Betsey Johnson vibes except with an emphasis on acrylic as their creative medium. We entered the store and oh my goodness everything was so eye catching - both in terms of designs as well as color palette. If you're a gal (or guy) who loves subdue understated jewelry this isn't the shop for you, as everything is extremely playful and witty. There were multiple items I wanted to purchase; however, the pricepoint is much higher than what I am use to; yet, you can think of it as paying for the design, and the fact that it's handmade by UK individuals. The smaller designs range in the £50 - £150 whereas the really stunning statement pieces around £200-£400. The extremely orange pieces can go up to £500+ I ended up getting a really beautiful blue parrot statement necklace that I'm sure would be a head turner. Can't wait to see more of their beautiful collection!
