Mallards is fantastic for jewellery offering an excellent range of new and second hand jewellery,…read morewatches and gold coins. My husband sends a decent portion of his salary to Mallards buying items of jewellery for me. Recently he bought me a ruby and diamond brooch and I am delighted with the shop and staff. The ambience is far superior to the typical chain stores jewellers and they also offer repair services. Mallards has a decent selection of watches including Rolex and Breitling and there is a nice selection of 22ct Asian gold. Very bling bling and highly addictive with a deposit and pay off monthly service.

I recently had it valued for insurance purposes only to find out that all but one of the diamonds had been replaced with glass 12 brilliant cut diamonds. We went back to the shop, this was now years after the event, we had no proof that they had replaced them etc. There is nothing I can do except warn people to check their jewellery if you have ever had the misfortune to have to result to an unscrupulous pawn broker. MOST AWFUL PLACE IN THE WORLD TO PICK UP PACKAGES!!!!!!…read more I have my physical ID and the online receipt and yet they still need my bank card to confirm. This does not make any sense as this was a package that was a gift for me, and despite having the physical ID and online receipt, this unprofessional place also wants me to have the physical bank card used to pay for it. When the purchase was also made online! How could I have a physical bank card of someone else that bought a gift for me. This does not make any sense. In addition, I want to stress that it did not say anywhere online when making this purchase that having the physical bank card will be required. It merely stated to bring the physical ID for the person picking up the package! I also didn't appreciate the duty deputy manager Viola being aggressive and shouting on the phone, making me feel uncomfortable and unheard. This is a very unprofessional place where I would never in a million years order my packages to be picked up from. My package is yet to be picked up. I wonder what the thought process is when I am willing to bring my physical ID and my proof of emails with the receipt and transaction.
