Botched photography, and unprofessional!…read more If I could go back and do my wedding all over again, i would have never hired this photographer. Hindsight is always 20/20. Andre, claims to be good at what he dose and he is mediocre at best. He completely ruined the majority of my wedding photos, took photos with our feet cut off, my beautiful gown cut off, he missed the big moments like my husbands mom placing a rose on a chair in honor of her late husband. (Things he knew about ahead of time so he should have been prepared for especially since we hired a 2nd shooter for this reason! 95% of our ceremony photos by Andre are taken from behind our alter(so of our backs or backs of our heads if we wouldn't have had a 2nd shooter we wouldn't have any photos from the front) I have zero bridal photos that show my entire dress unless you count the one he took from the ground! (Bridal photos are of the bride alone in her dress) he claims: "Most pictures I take don't have the whole dress because wedding dresses are big. What I mean is it can ruin the composition. For example, where the faces are. Getting the whole dress can put someone's face in the corner of the frame which would make an awkward looking picture." However after hiring another photographer and doing a bridal reshoot I have learned that this is completely untrue. My new photos show my full body, and full gown and are OUTSTANDING. Andre sent us a galley that had our heads cut off, feet cut off, dress cut off, extremely dark photos, close up photos of my food, but kept claiming the album was "SOLID." We requested to see all of our photos, and found the same photos that didn't have our heads cut off, or were a better angle, etc. Im still unsure why he put photos with our heads cut off when there where images of the same shot that didn't. Or photos of our parents wedding pictures laying down on the chair when there were photos of them sitting up like they should have been....After asking him too He did edit our request from our unedited photos, but still from the thousands we could only find 50-60 that were worth keeping. Our formal pictures are completely lacking, we dont have any verity the choose from when it comes to family photos, or full wedding party photos. For example I have one photo of my husband with my brides maids, and 1-2 photos of him with our entire wedding party. I have no formal photos of us with anyone in our family except our moms(together not individually), and one with my grandparents.(who were out FG &RB) None with anyone else. Aunts, uncles, individuals with our families, Even though these were previously discussed with Andre before the wedding. I could go on and on about everything he failed to photograph! At the end of the day Andre failed to meet our expectations over and over again! However, when we expressed our disappointment, he verbally assaulted me, via text, attacking my faith and Christianity. Andre, admitted that he missed photos, and after getting on a Facebook group for Kentucky photographers, asking what THEY charge for a bridal session (because clearly he saw the need for one) He offered us a $500.00 refund, compared to the 3,499.00 we paid him for Poor images. After doing some in depth research I discovered that $500.00 would not cover the cost of another bridal session because it required more than just standing in front of a camera. Andre REFUSED to accept the facts and discuss the details of such. His way or the high way. And after a few emails, he recanted his offer and then refused to offer any type of refund to us anymore. He is taking advantage of and robbing brides and their families of money. DO NOT HIRE this man, I wouldn't even send my worse enemy to him. My bridal reshoot was extremely successful, and is why I waited as long as I did to post my review, I wanted to see if wedding gowns are as impossible to photograph as Andre claims, or not. I only had 2 hours with my new photographer(10 hours with Andre, his 2nd shooter and a videographer) and I got over 90 pictures and loved every single one of them. AGAIN I would recommend that you not hire this photographer, for your wedding. I've learned my lesson and I'll use my voice to try and prevent another couple from the pain of what it was like getting my poor quality wedding photos back and trying to work though the issues with Andre.

Stephanie was responsive, communicative and thoughtful in our conversation. She was available via email and telephone and replied more swiftly than I would have even expected. She not only came thru with helpful suggestions for the day, but took time to come early and help me figure out what the heck to do when my original plan fell thru for a lack of attentiveness on my part. There is something to be said for the expertise and quick thinking on her part which enabled the day to go thru smoothly. We do not live in Cincinnati area and were coming in from out of state (for both the engagement photos and wedding), so we had never met Mandy prior to our engagement pictures. Within 2 minutes, however, we felt at ease with her, and she took some awesome engagement photos in Cincinnati. That was a good sign of things to come for the wedding! For the wedding, we went with Mandy's 9 hour package, and from beginning to end on our wedding day, Mandy and her crew did a simply fantastic job. She was punctual, and before the ceremony, she took stunning photos of my wife's dress, rings, and of my bridal party getting ready. We then did a "first look" session where my wife and I met for photos before the ceremony, and I can't recommend this enough! Not only did the pictures from this turn out to be stunning, it also helped calm my wife's nerves before the ceremony. We also did a fun series of photos with the wedding party before the ceremony, which I highly recommend (since this let us jump straight from the ceremony to the reception without any lulls in the day). Mandy and her crew also took great pictures of the ceremony and the reception, and we would also highly and strongly recommend springing for the photo booth for the reception. There is nothing quite as awesome as dressing up in costumes with your friends, parents, and grandparents in the photo booth and having those as keepsakes from your special day! The photo booth is beyond fun and proved to be a good conversation piece for the reception. It is worth the minimal extra money you will pay for it as an "add on" to your photo package. The only thing we suggest is to put together a list of any and all photos you would want before the wedding (i.e., such as pictures with certain family members) so you can make sure you don't miss anything (the day flies by!) and when working with Mandy, you probably don't need to spring for an extra photographer. We paid for the extra photographer, but given the relatively modest size of our wedding (about 90 guests) and wedding party (5 for each side), it probably wasn't as necessary as we initially thought. In short, Mandy and her crew did an awesome job from the first time we emailed her to the end of our wedding reception, and we would recommend her to anyone looking for high quality wedding and engagement pictures!

Trusty Yelp pointed me to a few finalists, and Aaron Kes was one of a few who was willing to take a job on Easter Sunday. Aaron graciosuly agreed to meet us in North Scottsdale, and arrived promptly. Being a former photog myself, I'm always interested to talk gear. No doubt Aaron has the newest and, in my opinion, the best gear. The Canon 5D III paired with the 50L prime. Perfect combo, and the results were awesome and tack sharp. Aaron was patient with the family, especially the two little girls who were not feeling photogenic on this day. His style is more the traditional style so if you like classic and timeless, Aaron is your man. The finished product was prompt and came out very nice. His eye and technical skills are excellent, which showed up in the tough backlit tree shot attached below. That said, I would have liked to see a few more different perspectives in his shots, especially with the little ones and with Aaron being a tall guy.
