Consistently good Italian with large menu near Heathrow airport…read more New Bettola is located in the village of Colnbrook right past Terminal 5 and down the street from the new Hilton T5 hotel. It's a great place for lunch or dinner when heading to the airport, without the airport prices. There is a small parking lot in front and additional street parking on the side. I've never had a problem finding a spot. The dining room has a decent size and a large back patio that's open in summer. The setting is casual-romantic. Service is prompt and friendly. Special requests are no problem. Food has been consistent and high quality. I love the fresh pastas and the risotto. Nice wine list and interesting cocktail list. Prices are reasonable.

I ordered some wine and then some salad and a pizza. What I didn't realize is the pizza I ordered the Napoli was basically a cold pizza. The waiter told me it was fresh but I didn't understand. The pizza had red sauce, fresh buffalo mozzarella and uncooked cherry tomatoes and arugula Plus I got a side salad so it was a very cold meal. They should have said more about the pizza so I really understood. It was ok but not ever flavorful unfortunately. It looked better than it was. Also, it took a while for them to get me my check but overall service was good.

The bruschetta was 4 slices with a center of mixed salad very good. The garlic cheese bread was a 9" thin crust pizza also very good. Traditional family-run Italian restaurant in a corner of Datchet Village (opposite the SEAT…read moregarage). The restaurant was just starting to build a reputation before it was destroyed by fire in 2009. It re-opened in December after extensive renovation, and Windsor MP Adam Afriyie attended the official opening (using it as a platform to support his campaign to keep the Windsor Fire Station open). The menu is pure Italian (as are the owners!) and the service is exceptional. Charming waiters will go out of their way for kids & OAPs (as is often the case in small, family-run restaurants) and move mountains for large group-bookings. Chefs (also Italian) are accomplished, and the only criticism would be the lack of choices for dessert (though fresh hand-made Italian cakes & profiteroles are always on offer). Personally, I love the 'snug' feel and the attention we (my family) always get as customers. Highly recommended.

The little extras we asked for were happily provided. Menu wasn't just pizza and pasta but had some great Italian dishes on there also. Could see that there were a few regulars there also which is always a good sign to see people coming back again and again.
