I'm in Windsor for work and needed a spot for a meal. Sebastian's was right around the corner from my hotel. You need to go down this little side street from Peascod. It's a very cute spot. I ordered some wine and then some salad and a pizza. What I didn't realize is the pizza I ordered the Napoli was basically a cold pizza. The waiter told me it was fresh but I didn't understand. The pizza had red sauce, fresh buffalo mozzarella and uncooked cherry tomatoes and arugula Plus I got a side salad so it was a very cold meal. They should have said more about the pizza so I really understood. It was ok but not ever flavorful unfortunately. It looked better than it was. Also, it took a while for them to get me my check but overall service was good. read more

Lovely Italian restaurant off a cobble side road. Received a warm welcome and seated immediately. Quite busy and loud for a Tuesday evening, so we knew it would be good! Service was excellent! Amazing food and service! Honestly I wasn't expecting such good food in such a touristy area but this place proved me wrong. Food: We got the fiorentina pizza. It had egg on it - very unique. Nice thin and crispy crust. We also got the mussels in white wine - another hit! Just enough food for 2 people Service: The owner cheerily greeted us and asked where we were visiting from. When we walked in she questioned why we were even there, as if coming in 2 hours before they closed was an inconvenience to her- she was rude, unprofessional and unwilling to be helpful. She should be fired. The wine was warm and I didn't even bother eating as I didn't trust her not to do something to my food. If I could give this place negative stars I would. Located on top of a hill around the corner from the Windsor castle, this restaurant was more than impressive. You do not need much imagination to picture yourself in a restaurant in Italy. The ambiance was just Tranquil. It was Intimate, open, secluded and welcoming. The food was shockingly well flavored. I had a gnocchi dish and I must say it was one of the best gnocchi I've had in a long time. The waitstaff were genuinely friendly. A very relaxing and welcoming environment! Stopped in at quip for an early dinner before leaving for London. Upon arrival there was 1 other party of two in the entire restaurant. We were asked if we had a booking, which we did not. They seemed hesitant to seat us as they stated they were getting quite busy, which perhaps they had many bookings for the evening, idk. We were seated and started with garlic cheese bread. It was good sized and had great flavor! Noticeable pieces of garlic but not overwhelming. Prepared in A wood fired pizza oven. For our mains I had penne with spicy tomato sauce, my husband had pesto linguini. Both dishes were good sized portions and tasted quite good. We had dessert, tiramisu for him and a pear and almond tart for me. Both were quite tasty. The bill was around £70 total without service. We left at 1825 to catch a train, the restaurant was still 3/4 empty so we must've beaten the dinner rush. read more

Was in Windsor for the day and the bartender at the pub we stopped at recommended Sebastien's but unfortunately when we arrived and we asked for a table the host wouldn't seat us. They had several open tables, with no one waiting but he wouldn't budge. He said that we had to book ahead and he would only seat us if we had booked ahead of time but we didn't hear of the place until that day so we couldn't have booked ahead. He was very rude and he wouldn't even give us a suggestion of another restaurant he just kept saying he was so busy and we didn't book. read more

I'm in Windsor from the States at least one week a month and can say that I've tried plenty of other places in town and Sebastian's always comes out on top. While I can't say I'm a regular and in every week, I do usually make one than one stop here during a trip over. I think I now know their main cycle of specials, but they never disappoint. Tonight the Bresaola with Parmesan and Rocket hit the spot after an all day flight. The Nero D'Avola is a good wine for a late evening meal. I had the crab linguini and it was fantastic, along with the beef carpaccio appetizer. Highly recommend both. Service was impeccable; it's cozy and warm here and you just don't want to leave. We were recently on a tour of Windsor, and before we went into the Castle, the tour group gave us lunch on our own. The Tour Guides were barraged with questions about where is the best place to eat, and they sheepishly told us about Sebastian's. They didn't want the whole tour group to go there, because it was their favorite place, and even they wanted to get in! It's obviously a family business, and the food was fantastic!! Get the Garlic Bread. It's actually pizza dough with mozzerella and garlic butter. Oh so very yummy!! My son had a Calzone which was about the size of his head. He loved it, and I wish I could post a photo for you to see! I ordered the Spaghetti with Bolognase meat sauce, and loved it. But I was so full from the garlic bread, that the owner was worried I didn't like it. Believe me, I loved it. We were so full, the portion size is great!! So, if you're going on a tour of Windsor Castle, Gower Hill is a small side alley in the shopping area. You won't regret eating there. It's fantastic!! read more

Popped in here after touring the castle -- yes, much like others, we had to come back an hour later as they were packed .. no worries for us and indicative of an excellent experience, right? Off to the side of the walking area, it's small, but packs in some great ambiance. My review is going to fall under the "food was okay, service not so much" category. Our server clearly wanted us out of there as quickly as she could turn the table and after waiting over an hour to be seated (not to mention walking the castle for a few hours before that) -- we were in no rush. I only found this restaurant through Yelp, it's a bit hidden from the main restaurants in the area. Since I wasn't shown the daily specials (even though everyone else was - which I only realized after I was halfway through my pizza), I ended up with a pizza. Wait, I already said that. The pizza was quite good, definitely one of the best ones I had - no question. The service left a few things to be desired unfortunately, I had to wait for a while after I finished before anyone asked me if I cared for desert. Nobody asked me whether I liked my dish either. I was hoping to get a small glass of Fernet Branca, an Italian digestive, alas they didn't have that. When I ordered sparkling water, I got a 0.7 liter bottle. I wasn't offered anything smaller, maybe because they didn't have it. Since I hadn't returned from a walk through the dessert, I really didn't that much water. I would come back since the food was good and the staff was fairly friendly, but they could improve things a bit there. read more

Sebastian's is something of a hidden gem in Windsor. Along the main street across from the castle, there are restaurants aplenty, including Italian (that I believe are chains, not sure since I am not British). My family and I saw a very good review and, as my kids love Italian, we wanted to check it out. The place is rather small but in a pleasant way. The decor is very enjoyable, very much like an trattoria in Italy. Everyone absolutely loved their meal. Delicious salads, pastas and pizza. In fact, later in the week during our visit we went to a different Italian place and the whole family regretted we had not gone back to Sebastian's. We found the service excellent and attentive. They took care of us but didn't rush us. You cannot go wrong here. read more
