John Kang was great at first.. seemed to know his stuff and I felt like I was in good hands. His rate at $120 is great except he's extremely slow and getting work by him will actually cost more than Top Tier artists like Ernesto Nave, Mark Duhan, Jospeh Mumola and Joe Capobianco. They all charge between $150 to $175 but end price is cheaper because they aren't milking the clock and the quality is much better. He took four hours drawing small flames as an add on to a tattoo. The lines were shaky and not clean. He was a complete no show to the touch up appointment... ignored multiple texts and didn't apologize until I went in person the next day. I was told he just got all my texts that afternoon. lol First it was a scheduling error.. then family stuff.. complete b/s. Promised me a free small font tattoo I was interested in.. never happened. Super defensive when asked for another touch up because his first one just made the lines worse. We butted heads. I asked him to make it right and credit me back $120 out of the $1040 given to him. That would of went to pay for someone else to fix his crappy line work. After he initially denied the messed up lines were his.. he took accountability when I said I have pictures of my tattoo before he worked on it. He then texted he misread my message and said he would do the touch ups himself. But said nothing else about making the situation right. There's too many quality artists to settle for the subpar ones. I wish I had the same experience as others.. not the case. Look elsewhere..
