Ikaika came out quickly and gave me options for getting more time out of my old heater, rather than convince me to pay so much more for a replacement. I really appreciated having the choice, because you expect to hear that cha-ching that goes with a pricier job. Anyway, it was my decision to replace it, so Ikaika gave me a reasonable quote and was ready to start soon. Ikaika discussed the whole process with us and answered all of our questions. I had a couple of requests and he was able to accommodate. He showed up on time every day, fully prepared to tackle the job. He removed the old tank and installed the new 120 gallon tank (it's a big house) really quickly. It has all the bells & whistles. Our new rooftop panels were sized to meet the needs of our 120 gallon tank, taking into consideration the amount of sunshine we have in Kihei. Along with the manufacturer warranties for the system, Ikaika also gave us his own 2 year warranty for his work. That includes free annual checkups and tank flushes. We got to know Ikaika Ho'opi'i pretty well. He is a very friendly gentleman who likes to talk story. Ikaika is a family man and a big asset to the community. As a football coach, he gives his time to help boys grow up with good role models. He's the kind of guy I like to do business with.

Understandably, they noted in their system about those missed maintenance appointments apparently red flagging us despite our purchasing 3 units from them. Recently, we called their office to request a quote to install new units in another property requiring 5 units to install. The receptionist after asking our name. Read out to us about the past appointment issues obviously noted in their system, reminding us of our past mistakes that occurred during difficult times (covid etc, again not to justify our past faults). We paused wondering if we were now not eligible for any type of service or purchase from them. Receptionists continued in a stern tone asking for our address etc and rudely/degrading manner, asking us to repeat ourselves. I asked "so you can't hear me?" After my disappointment/hurt with her very rude, unforgiving attitude, as if we were asking for free AC units and burdening her with our call, she then changes her tone when I tell her "it's okay we'll call later if she can't hear me, she then says "oh no. I can hear you ". By then I decided to not waste any more money on this company.
