This particular Manam branch is located on the 1st Floor of Robinsons Place in Metro Manila. The pricing is about twice that of a mom and pop establishment, but with such vastness and variety in their comfort food-focused menu, one can hardly stay away. I seem to gravitate towards their brunch menu some of which include imaginative creations, what they deem "Twists".
I went with 1 classic and 1 twist with the "House-made Tapsilog" (320 PHP) and "Ube Champorado" (185 PHP). The waiter did warn me that the latter would be "very big", with a caution to get it for carry out which I agreed too. Both dishes came out on plate though and that Ube Champorado was big indeed! Delicious! Sweet rice porridge with hints of ube were evident. The Tapsilog came with garlic rice and the meat was citrusy although portion small for the price (still cheap).
I also had a HUGE mango shake with sago. I was more than satisfied having completely finish that and all of the Tapsilog so I did take the rest of the champorado for carry out . Service was great and seating was easy to come by at a restaurant of this size. A mall you are likely to find a Manam in which is always a happy sight. read more
