Very nice tour visiting the manatees. I went with my mom. A great bonus is the warm coats they provide when you jump out of the water! They also provide transportation from the shop to the harbor where you get on the boat. When went to two different sites. Although the tour wasn't full, they still took us out (we were just 4 people). It was basically a private tour for the price of a regular one! very disappointing experience, we paid for myself, my husband, and my 3 kids to enjoy the tour, my kids were a little flustered and finally got the courage to go in the water with only 10 minutes left of the tour. The captain refused my kids entry of the water even though I paid full price for my children to be able to experience swimming with the manatees as well, which caused my kids to cry and be very understandably upset. The captain then seemed to be annoyed of the fact my children were upset and offered evryone hot chocolate but myself or my children. I paid a lot of money for this tour only to be refused my money back when my children didn't even get to experience it. do not recommend at all. read more

Our visit was on the 8am trip of May 10th. Though it is not prime manatee season Captain Chad and our guide Jacob did everything they could to give us the best experience we could have in the off-season. Captain Chad had someone checking the waterways via drone to scope out the prime spots for manatee observation. At our first stop Jacob got into the water first to see if the manatee was in the mood for visitors. He realized that the manatee wasn't keen on having us nearby so he hopped back on the boat and Captain Chad took us to another location. He sent up another drone and was able to locate a mama and baby grazing nearby. Jacob was great about making sure everyone was able to get a good view of these amazing creatures. He even pulled me from the back of our group of 4 to get me up front as I was keeping more than a respectful distance to the manatees and was missing a lot by hanging so far back. They both went over and beyond to give us the best experience and I felt like we were hanging out with friends. Back at the shop we were able to hold baby opposums that had been rescued and were being cared for by the staff. We made a few purchases and made sure to purchase all the photos and videos Jacob took on our adventure for $40. This was one of the best experiences of my life and we will definitely be back :) read more

We had the best time on our manatee snorkel tour! Lacey and Eric made sure that we got the most out of our tour by finding manatees and approaching them in a respectful, calm way. I really appreciated their focus on the comfort and peacefulness of the manatees, even if that means we couldn't see one because there was already a group of people around it. We still were able to beat the crowd to two manatees and Lacey was excellent at guiding us toward her! She handled our large tour group at ease and with confidence. We even got to dive at two spring heads! The hot chocolate on the boat at the end was a nice touch as well. We will definitely be back! read more

It was really great. Captain John is very funny and very informative! I called the morning of and they were able to get me in the last available spot. It was my birthday and they sang happy birthday to me it was so sweet. We only really saw two manatees, but that's okay because it was still magical. We booked the 8am tour on 4/13 and ended up being the only two people on board. Jacob and Matt were extremely friendly and chill and it was obvious they wanted us to have a great time. Because of the time of year, the area we swam in wasn't packed with manatees, but there was still plenty to see. The water was cool and refreshing and our diver let us explore the area, pointing out the manatees and other wildlife. He took plenty of pictures and videos for us too. We had a wonderful time on our Manatee snorkeling tour. Our guides were very knowledgeable about manatee biology and conservation and made sure everyone was comfortable with passively viewing the manatees. We got to warm up by exploring Three Sisters, looking around for manatees, and generally just enjoying the crystal clear water. The boats are very communicative with each other and the company's other boat turned us onto the location of a social manatee. Our tour wrapped up with about a 45 minute visit with the friendliest manatee ever. He was very curious and wanted to give everyone kisses, and even tried to eat our guide's hair a little bit. What an adventure! I had no idea there's "scalloping" until I was in the area and looking for things to do. I loved the idea - go out on the boat, hunt for scallops, chill on the water = awesome dinner outcome. The reality (lol) - well.. I'm a great swimmer but not a diver. AT ALL. As in "my head never goes under the water". For some reason I though I would wade through the water, bending and picking those suckers up. Nope. You are equipped with the swimming mask and flippers and you DIVE for scallops. Err.. Hmm.. Not a diver here.. WTH do I do? I'm out on the boat already and I want those scallops. To hell with it, I'm in! Yea.. not so easy. The claustrophobic mask is just not doing it, nor to the flippers. Awkward as s*it if you never used them and I'm freaking scared of going too deep and breathing in water. Also, the water isn't warm. If you know me, you know cold is zero my thing. But I'm hanging in and pretending I got this. NOT. Enter our awesome tour couple - Charlie and Teri. Teri: "Ok girl, if you are cold, nothing is going to do it for you. Get out of the water and I'm going to dress you". On comes some kind of a diving shirt and a vest. OK. I feel like I'm wearing something heavy and over-sized that's not gonna help at all. WRONG. The minute I got back int he water my attitude totally changed. Now I'm not freezing but I'm still claustrophobic and have no idea how to use the given equipment. Charlie: "Hold my hand and we will do this together. If I squeeze your hand, that means I see the target. Do the same." So there I am, swimming together with Charlie, GRIPPING his hand and even pointing out scallops before he spotted one!!! Well, a few of them, at least. Those suckers are incredibly hard to spot. The average for a newbie for the entire tour is 25-30. No worries here though, Charlie and Teri took care of us. Average for both of them is 150-200. These guys rock. Whereas I ended up giving about half an hour of hunting (too cold and my flippers were too small, causing all sorts of cramp), they kept bringing in the catch so we ended up with about 150 scallops/pp. Highlights: - Again, kudos to the fantastic couple - without them I don't think I would have been able to do this, they took care of the newbie here and I felt like I totally soaked in the experience, even without being able to dive; - Charlie had lots of stories about scalloping and the area and I do like a lesson; - Scallops sashimi that is 1 sec "old" - OMG. It doesn't get any fresher, especially with me being the person to "clean" = kill it. And eat it, of course. YUM! They taste sweet, with a touch of sea salt from the ocean. No wasabi though - would've loved some ;) - Gorgeous view and fantastic company. I made friends with the couple on the boat and they are also from ATL! - Scallops for dinner = WIN. Do try this. If I go again, I would definitely try to push for Charlie and Teri =) read more

Swam with manatees in January! The water temp was 72 degrees. It was cold for 2-3 minutes and then it is completely fine. We saw a bunch of manatees. It was really cool!!! Easy enough for a 9 year old. The guides were nice, knowledgeable, helpful and patient. Getting there and in wet suits was easy and hassle free. Def recommend doing this unforgettable experience!! read more

Matt and Alex were awesome. Matt goes out of his way to help you see Manatees. When you get there you get outfitted with wetsuits (and yes there is a changing area). Everyone inside is so friendly and helpful. Leave your camera behind-Matt takes photos (400 or so for us) and they add to a USB drive for $40 plus tax. All I can say is WOW! This is one of the most amazing things I've ever done and the captain and guide were phenomenal! They flew a drone overhead to find the manatee's and prepped me for the experience. I was able to be in the water with a pregnant mama manatee that was just about to give birth. Great time today-highly recommend this tour. Everyone was great and friendly, and Captain Brian and our guide Missy were terrific. We had six in our party, and nine all together on the boat. We went to three locations, and saw manatees at each one. Captain Brian was even helping some other guides who were in the water to locate the manatees. You could tell Brian and Missy really loved the manatees and made sure some of the unguided swimmers weren't doing dumb stuff to them. Also, while other tours make a big fuss about not charging extra for wetsuits and parking, everything was also included here for the price of the tour. Finally, I liked that we could just walk to the boat and didn't need to spend a bunch of time traveling back and forth by vehicle from the water. One tip though---even though it was warm out, the water was chilly and we were all grateful to have sweatshirts with us for the short boat ride back to the dock. Highly recommend this tour-It was a bucket list item but we would absolutely come back and do it again. Great stuff! read more

We had such an amazing experience with Casey as our captain and Amanda as our guide. Amanda went above and beyond to make sure everyone had a great experience. I have a hard time seeing without my glasses and a couple of times told me to hold onto her arm and she took me to a position where I could see the manatee. My daughter can't stop talking about how much swimming time we had with the manatee and how great the experience was. We went on the off season so we didn't see a ton of manatee but the quality what we did see and experience couldn't have been beat by quantity. We went out with Kenny and Luke and these guys are a blast! They were super informative and very patient with our children. We had a great time and got to swim with multiple manatees including a mama and calf. They both worked together to make our trip very successful to view the manatees from the boat, in the water, and the springs. The ride through the different canals was made more interesting Kenny's humor and with Luke's vast knowledge of the vegetation, various species of wildlife, and the different springs. Along with manatees, we saw turtles, otters, bird's hunting and catching fish, small fish, and even a huge bass swam right under us! The wetsuits really do help keep you warm and Kenny provided hot chocolate and tea for everyone to warm up afterwards. We will definitely be back! After floating with a manatee for well over 20 minutes and swimming with the momma and calf my expectations were met and exceeded!!! Thank you both so very much! I would recommend this company if you are looking for a private or group tour to swim with the manatees. I would also tell you to be prepared for a less than professional experience. Both the guide and the Capitan of the boat were on their phones multiple times texting or doing other things, they also spoke poorly of others on the water. That being said, they took us to locations that were less crowded so we were able to have a more personal experience with the manatees. They were also very knowledgeable about manatees in general. Hey y'all! Took a tour today 8/22 in the morning with Captain Tony and Missy!!!! We had an amazing time, we were able to swim near a Momma Manatee and her baby calf for over an hour!!!! So much better than I had anticipated! They answered all of my silly questions and explained so much. Would Definately recommend this tour to anyone! They even took us after swimming to an area where a nearby restaurant feeds the swimming birds who have bright blue eyes and swim underwater really fast! We also were able to see a ton of Tarpon fish that were about 6 feet long! So amazing!!!!! The disc of pictures was also amazing for $30 we now have some great pictures for life. Thanks again Tony and Missy!!!! Definately going to tell my friends and family to do this when they go down to Florida for vacation!! Well worth the $57!!!!
