Rodney was "drivin the boat" with style & class, while also being our handy dandy pool noodle handler. Austin was the man, he told us all about the manatees and marinated wet suits. I guess manatees are actually buff like body builders, ultimate sleeper build. Taking us to the hot spots we were finally in the water with what looked like giant turds; gentle turds. They kinda just live life, eating and sleeping while you stare at their muscles and watch them breathe. The amount of mental discipline you have to have is , you want to scream and squirm but can't. It might startle the manatees, the struggle was real. It was nice to get out with kind, genuine people, we were vibing. So all in all get ur butt over here and make some memories you'll never forget. Just do it!

They walked us through a mini aquarium, then we watched an instructional video and got into wetsuits. Once in the wet suit, we waited about 30-40 more minutes in another room before being picked up. I probably would have brought a snack if I had realized it would be an hour between arriving and actually going anywhere. The staff members on the boat were cool, we liked talking to them. I feel like in the ads and on social media the water is super clear and there are tons of manatees, but it was extremely murky and it took us a long time to find one manatee. Swimming with the manatee was so cool, but we could barely tell when we were near it because the water was so murky. The guide in the water did a great job at keeping us near it, but also at a respectful distance.

Dress warm and bring blankets, hats mittens, towels ect. Group-on had a deal and yes you have to pay a little more when you book but you still saved money. The tour starts with a video of rules and regulations, changing into a wet suit then loading onto a small bus and onto a boat. Then to the site where you'll hopefully see manatees and SO many fish! The staff was amazing, kind friendly and thoughtful. They do accept tips!

And from the staff to the dock hands, to the quality of the vessel and cleanliness of the shop: 10/10. A guide handed us a laminated map (nice touch) and told us where to head for manatee sightings. And even pointed us to a cove that homes a lot of turtles and alligators. We saw it all! They have volunteers overseeing the 3 sisters springs, to help monitor the safety of the manatees (and scold ignorant people lol). Great time! If you're unsure, let me assure you.. just book.

Our first stop was near a sanctuary site in King's Bay that was absolutely packed with manatees that we could not see in the murky waters. It was an incredibly "up close and personal" experience--you literally could not see the manatees until they were right next to you. The location was the Three Sisters Springs. Here, the water clarity was phenomenal. We were able to see the manatees in their entirety--huge, graceful forms gliding, rolling and swimming past us. I would highly recommend this tour operator if you are looking for a great manatee adventure.
