There were also a whole bunch of drag queens & singers performing throughout the event, & they were all so much fun to watch. There were tons of vendors set up where you could shop, along w/ a bunch of free giveaways, which I always love! The whole event had such a fun, welcoming vibe, & I really enjoyed myself. Everyone who attended looked so happy & free!! I'll def be back next year!

I think it's wonderful that they hosts an event like this for the community. There was something for everyone, from local vendors and food trucks to activities, entertainment, and community organizations. Every vendor I stopped by was friendly, approachable, and happy to chat. One of the biggest highlights was seeing Alyssa Edwards perform. She's such a great entertainer, and it brought my sister so much joy to see her in person. It was exciting to have such a well known performer as part of a local community event. I also appreciated all of the free giveaways, including stickers, flags, and helpful community resources etc. Overall, the event was well organized, inclusive, and community focused. My sister and I had such a great time that we were already talking about coming back next year before the festival was even over.

The seats are comfortable and the view from the seats on the ground level are all decent. I've been where we sat at the last row on the ground level and I've visited where we had seats closer to the stage. The lines aren't crazy long, and the security works pretty quickly to move things right along. They do sell cocktails and snacks. I love that this venue is right in the middle of the city with plenty of public tranportation options. The fees have always been reasonable and cheaper if you pay at their box office. This is definitely a venue I would attend future events at based on my prior experiences.

They really enjoy this! I don't think there was a bad seat in the house. I could see the stage very well, and my seat was very comfortable. The restrooms were centrally located. No waiting. Very tidy. I enjoyed the snack bar and merchandise tables so much. How wonderful we were able to enjoy lovely teaching a meditation from Gen-la Dekyong. She is a no deed none in the Kadampa Modern Buddhism Tradition. She is like the pope of this Buddhist tradition and she's a woman. She's a gentle woman, and she really shares her vast knowledge as one of Geshle's original students in the UNITED kingdom 40 + years of practicing education, tourism . Fun and enlightening!! Such a wonderful evening. This teaching was called "a life without fear " & she gave such profound wisdom with us all. It was nice to see a souvenir on the wall. Pictures in frames of starts that recorders and performed here. Gorgeous!!! I would love to return again.

This is a 2-sided marker from the CT Historical Commission in the familiar white lettering on a…read moreblue background. Its situated on a small green right in front of Town Hall. The two sides of text cover the early history of the area starting with its first European settlement in 1673, and Hartford's purchase of the land from the Indians in 1682. The Town of Manchester was incorporated in 1823. Early business and industry included the manufacture of gun powder for the Revolutionary army, paper for the Connecticut Courant newspaper, and blankets used by the army during the War of 1812. Other accomplishments mentioned on the plaque are Manchester's heritage as a leader in the silk and firearms business, it's home to CT's second community college, and it's early churches and schools. Manchester's history was very interesting to read, but unfortunately the plaque is in a distressed condition and shows significant evidence of fading and weathering, especially on it's first side. Its a shame because the plaque is located in a very pretty location next to a gorgeously landscaped flower bed and a handsome brick sign for Manchester Town Hall

My father was buried December 24th in Silver Lane Cemetery , in the veteran's section . I called the cemetery phone number and left messages twice asking for a call back and no response . In the message I asked city employee to please put a temporary marker so we can visit and know which was my father's gravesite. I'm sitting at the cemetery now wondering just where my father is???

The town was incorporated in 1645 and known as the "Mother Town"; parts of it were divided to create the following towns, Burlington, Southington, Berlin, New Britain, Plainville, Bristol, and Avon. The landscape consists of woods, meadows, and rolling hills. There are many major companies that are located there, providing jobs for thousands. The schools are highly rated which makes Farmington a desirable place to live for families; crime rates are low which adds to the high rankings. While driving around, I noticed nice houses, neighborhoods, and the landscaping was beautiful. The history is rich there; you can tell by the old and preserved homes. There are many parks and restaurants too. The con is, traffic can be heavy in the town center. The parks I've explored so far was not as nice as neighboring towns. All in all, I think this is a good town!

Crafty activity's that include the parents also. They have a really great fall fair which is really funit involves the local merchants, great baked goods, and fun blowup jumpers. They charge the same price every year for an all rides pass. One year they gave out gummy bears for an hour. Awesome one year they had fried dough and it was aweone. They always have a pizza tasting contest that I have yet to participate in!!!!!! looking forward to the Christmas extravaganza. Which I take my son to every year so we can make ornements... Currently, there are approximately 24,000 people living there. Simsbury is part of the Farmington Valley. There are three state parks; Penwood, Talcott Mountain, and Stratton Brook. The famous landmark, Heublein Tower can be seen from a distance in various parts of the state. The Pinchot Sycamore is the largest tree in Connecticut, which is located in Simsbury. The International Skating Center is also located there; many well-known ice skaters trained there. The town is very beautiful and nicely maintained; houses are beautiful. There are many things to do. There is a town center, hiking trails, libraries, playgrounds, and restaurants. The school system is highly rated and crime rates are low. I really enjoy exploring the town and I'm there quite often. Overall, an A+ town all around.

Simsbury is a place to have a family and raise children. Simsbury is for champions! 2.) Aesthetics: Beautiful Simsbury, beautiful, beautiful Simsbury. Lots of woods. It's kind of rural meets Suburban. High class yet down to earth. 3.) Schools: A town of very nice elementary, middle, high schools and private schools. Your child is going to get a good education here. 4.) Citizens: Contrary to belief, Simsbury is not like that next town over. These people are a generally down to earth bunch. I describe these people as working middle class citizens. Yes, there are people who make money here, but that's just a slight deviation towards lower and upper class. 5.) Residences: Just like I said about Socio-economic status, you can find all types of housing here. From tiny startup homes to apartments to condominiums to McMansions, you can find it all! I recall when I was first looking for apartments I was able to find one on Hopmeadow Road for $700 a month. That was back in 2007! 6.) Town - statistics: To be honest, the statistics are that 90% of the citizens have college degrees and make an annual income of $90,000. That percentage also ties in with the literacy rate, as well as the likelihood that a high school graduate will go onto a 4 year college. 7.) Impressions: After I earn my ultimate degree, settle on a job, finish being young, partying and having fun, I am moving back here!

But it's historical marker is in very poor condition, one of the very poorest I have seen. Located in front of Town Hall, this is a two-sided marker from the CT Historical Commission in the familiar white lettering on a blue background. It has the inscription on just one side and very oddly has a blank side on the reverse, something I don't believe I have seen before. It is in an extremely distressed condition -the blue paint is failing and peeling everywhere. The inscription reads: This area was settled in 1650 as a rural farming community known as Middletown Upper Houses. It was incorporated and named Cromwell in 1851. The 18th century saw a thriving riverport, followed by brownstone quarrying and several factories including J&E Stevens Company, noted for mechanical iron banks and toys. The A.N Pierson, Inc green houses rank among the world's largest and as a rose grower Cromwell was given the title "Rose Town". The Old Burying Ground. granted in 1713, is the resting place of veterans of the French and Indian War, Revolutionary War, War of 1812 and the Civil War Erected by the Town of Cromwell The Cromwell Historical Society and the Connecticut Historical Commission 1975

In memory of Andrew…read moreand Billy The Clinton Town Hall was built back in 1936 with money donated by William Stanton Andrews. It is a lovely building in a great location that is a pleasure to visit. The inside has an absolutely gorgeous marble lobby with gold crown molding and several huge fountains that are extremely cool. A beautiful red tail stag is in the entrance of the main lobby and was donated in 1978 by Sturges Redfield. The stag was carved in Europe and has been in his family for over a century. Pretty impressive critter. The Town hall also contains the Clinton Historical Society Museum Room that has different exhibits of local history and the building also contains 5 working fireplaces and a 450 seat auditorium. Quite an impressive place. One thing that is missing are the kitties. For years the Town Hall had a lovely and friendly cat named Andrew but he eventually got old and passed on. He was replace by Billy, a rather plump but lovable feline that that also ended up leaving this world. I have heard they aren't going to get any new cats which is a shame. Being greating by Andrew or Billy was always a treat. The Clinton Town Hall is a cool place even without the kitties. A interesting place to pay taxes or do tedious government stuff. Everyone here is always friendly and will go out of their way to help. They even have some beautiful river views from the back and a kayak and canoe ramp by the dock. A very cool town hall that has so many cool and interesting things to do and look at.
