The individual who answered the phone was mumbling so I was not even sure whether I contacted the correct number. After telling him that I received a quote, he mumbled and continued to speak in a garbled manner. I made out that he would "call or email back in 5 minutes" and then hung up. He never asked for my name and I was calling from a multi line phone so not sure how he planned on doing that without any of my information. They are profoundly unprofessional. The drivers are always professional and early. The best part, however, is the customer service! You get an e-mail with a photo of the driver, a text when the driver is on their way, a text when the driver is at your location, an e-mail when you're in the car and a final e-mail when you get dropped off. Thanks to the yelpers, I found Motor City Limo and called them 3 months prior to the trip to book the transfer to/ from the airport / hotel. A few days prior to the trip I get a confirmation email, and then on the day of the trip I get an email reminding me of my pick up. The only down part is, if you don't have access to email, you would not get this reminder. As I landed I got an email telling me my driver was on the way and a photo of Anton. Then I got a text message telling me he's at the Coffee Bean with an iPad sign. Total communication .. love it! He was so easy to find, and we had no communication problem. Anton was a great driver and guide. Our SUV was warm and he even gave us bottled water to sip on. Chatty but not overly chatty, and gave us tips on what to do in Detroit. I asked Motor City to allow me to tip the driver with cash, and I gave Anton a very generous tip for a job well done. On the day of our return we had "GG" and she was excellent as well. Bright and early at 7 am on as Sunday, she was chipper and friendly. She grew up in Detroit and told us how things have changed in the new Detroit revival. Just like our arrival, Motor City gave me plenty of confirmations and notifications, so I did not stress if my reservation would be there or not. He was prompt, courteous, and went above and beyond to accommodate me and make the ride a wonderful experience. I reached out on the same day I needed a car from a business trip to the airport and without hesitation Will instantly set up the order and assured me the car would be on on time. Will picked me up himself, the car was clean, the 1 1/2 hour ride was AWESOME and I felt pampered. I could not ask for more and being from NYC I know first hand that a cab, Lyft, or Uber ride can be a nightmare if you select the wrong company or unfortunately get the wrong driver. I will only use DET Elite Transportation the next time I am in the area. I highly recommend them and especially Will for his courtesy and for making my experience a great one. Will was up for the drive and provided us with an excellent experience. His vehicles are clean, comfortable and well maintained. I am a person who gets car sick easily and found his driving to be excellent and safe at all times. We've used him for an airport pickup as well and he was on time, assisted with luggage, and communicated perfectly before and on the day of pickup. When our flight was cancelled he accommodated a last minute change without any issues at all which really ease the stress of an anxiety provoking situation. It's nice to have the peace of mind of having pre-arranged transportation to and from the airport, since ride share (especially since the pandemic) has been less reliable in our area. Cars are clean, spacious, and the rides are quiet (which I personally prefer). The drivers find you in the airport on arrival, and walk you to the car, often even helping with bags (which is above and beyond), as opposed to leaving you to figure out where to go. We did have a hiccup once with a booking, but the response and customer service was good for resolving. Otherwise, service is reliable, on time, and pretty seamless.
